UNN senate president defends self over alleged misappropriation of funds

Senate President of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Ifeanyichukwu Nnamani, has stated his own side of the story following his purported impeachment over alleged misappropriation of students union funds.

According to acting Senate President Ogbuh Chinazam Ameh, Nnamani was sacked for alleged misappropriation of N3, 238, 500. 00 and disregard for the Student Union Government (SUG) constitution.

But speaking on Lion FM Nsukka, Nnamani said he was impeached for declining to approve N65, 553,000.00 for the construction of 150 relaxation outdoor seats.

He said he took the stand because there were more pressing demands such as renovation of toilets, leaking roofs and drainage and installation of solar panels to boost power supply.

“I will protect the welfare of Nigerian students and will never support impunity and corruption in the SUG even though my office is threatened,” he said, adding: “I refused to give my consent until due process is followed.”

He dared his accusers to produce a copy of alleged transactions showing he misappropriated N3, 238, 500. 00. He said he does not authorise withdrawal from the union’s account.

According to him, that is the purview of the financial secretary, thereby rendering the accusations false.

Dear, President and Governors

I know you and I don't want inflation neither do we want people to die for a solvable problem.

The Covid19 pandemic has shown 3 things above others;

1. We are good people.
2. We are Hard Working people.
3. We are progressive and obedient people.

But, we are currently very hungry and insecure.

How do we remain positive and survive in this period ?
Is money really efficient ?
If yes, Is money really worth our lives?

I propose,

1. About ₦36,000 naira only be sent to account holders using the Bank Verification Number as a tracker.
2. About ₦36,000 naira only be given to families in remote areas without bank accounts using the local system of government.
3. A certain amount of money be sent to old age homes, motherless babies homes and helpless people institutions.
4. During and After this pandemic I would suggest every government review the value of paper money in our economy, if it can't solve our basic problems in difficult times, I think we need a better measure of value or additional common legal tender.

NOTE: ₦36,000 won't put too much money in circulation and hinder productivity since the average spending per day is about ₦1200 for families or individuals as the case may be.

I propose,

1. Lets print more money and inject into the economy.
2. After the pandemic; tax, electric bills, oil and gas (Fuel, Kerosine) among other ways can be used to balance the economy.

In Conclusion

I know my suggestions might not be professional or effective since I don't have accurate data of current statistics of thing.

Nigeria is my country, instead of sitting and insulting my dear leaders;
I believe good action or a detailed or crude suggestion is a better way to develop an efficient country.

NOTE: If things get out of hand you will have no people to lead, everyone big and small will suffer directly or indirectly from our ignorance and wickedness.

Wether you read it or not, I am happy I made my contribution and the years I spent in school are not in vain.

Book is not enough, Students have to eat well and take care of themselves and needs.

#5,000 to students in secondary school .
#10,000 to students in Tertiary Schools

NOTE: It could be more but not less. For Secondary school students, this money could be saved in a bank and must not be used by you in any case.

If you as a working class man or woman is complaining of money, what should students do? Commit suicide, Kill, Steal or Prostitute ?


If I am the president for just 30 days.

I will do just two things.

1. Control child birth using the best possible means, even if it requires sentencing careless parents to death.

2. Ensure no child or youth lacks basic amenities.

Every parents should pay their children who are in school a minimum allowance of #10,000 monthly, whether they give them food stuff or not, whether they come from home or not.

#5000 to Secondary
#10000 to Tertiary

The main reason why things are bad is more of family and financial problems than government or teachers.

Students are meant to study and explore not to be hustling for money out of hunger and poverty.

If not for above problems I believe we would have better government because youths "may not" be bought into committing crimes or voting the wrong candidate or condoling oppression.

Students are intelligent, but they can't study because of hunger and frustration.
