mobi5592: If you live in Lagos, supporting a family of 3 and maybe parents, you would realise that even with that much you will struggle to buy a car.
Just 3 years ago, you could get a decent, direct toks car for 3M. Now, same quality of cars go for 10M+. Question is who is taking all that money out of your pocket? The govt. directly stealing from you in the name of taxing importation.
To cook any small meal today, you have to buy 1000 naira pepper. Freaking 1000 Naira. Same quantity of pepper used to go for 100# just 2 to 3 years ago. Lol at 1000 naira pepper .you must be from the south western zone Cost of stables 10X and 5x, but average earning maybe 1.5X.
To provide electricity in Lagos for a house with 1 freezer and 1 fridge, your monthly cost would be a little shy of 100K.
Let the poor breath. But accountability is enforced, they're never given. |
Travel › Re: Is Leaving Nigeria For Europe Really Better Than Staying Back To Build Something by obitrac: 12:53pm On May 15 |
engrchykae: I have a Aunt in the UK that told me she regretted travelling to the UK. She is a matron. She said that with her connection back then in Nigeria, she would have had her own hospital if she had stayed back. Because she studied here, worked at university teaching hospital Lagos for sometime before travelling. Naomi left home for the land of Moab and later Boaz who happened to remain in the land became her savior. May we make the right decisions As a Matron naija would have given her more but as an ordinary nurse uk is best choice |

Powerbandooo: Let us be realistic, It is enough to live life well as a single guy, not married Sometimes I will see nonsense writeup that someone who is making 500k as a family man is not enough, The truth is where we will use see a job of 500k in Nigeria This is Nigeria, anybody that is making 300k with a family of 4 or less is doing well, we should not let anybody pressure you
So for the 100k salary for a single guy it is fairly enough to live life managely well Any writeup that will counter what I am saying is nonsense Rent is paid every year, not something you pay daily I don't know why you guys always talk about salary, how many Nigerians are doing salary work, more than 60 percent of Nigerians are self employed and most of them are doing businesses that make more than 100k per day |

Gerrard59: I wonder why they find it hard to grasp the bold. When oil jobs were scarce in the country, those who studied petroleum engineering found it more difficult to pivot or had it harder to apply for jobs where specific engineering courses were required.
For a beginner level, it's better to generalise than specialise. you are right,I remember when software jobs were hotcakes we all pivoted to computer engineering but now that AI has taken most of the jobs and solar energy systems is hot cake now,I was able to pivot back to electrical engineering since thats my first degree but some of my colleagues that read computer engineering as first degree are finding it difficult to get solar jobs |

ayindejimmy: Those that are married know that with women come additional headache.
Life I not all about being in a sexual relationship. Don't approach every relationship with the mindset of it leading to sex. Some girls just needed company. And if you come with sex , it's a turn off. Build the relationship first
Identify your personality and then you'll be able to attract opposite sex that'll appreciate you for you. There is more to life than having sex. Any relationship without intimacy is a ticking time bomb and is bound to fail because of lack of commitment. If your babe is uncomfortable to UnCloth in your presence, where then is the Bonding which is vital in relationship |

xxxx999jon: Lies from the pit of hell...where Dangote refinery want see $13,000 to pay a non executive staff monthly talk less of $24,000?
If all this complains are true ,there are other ways of pressing home their needs,e g industrial court or relevant labour laws ..it's a private firm .. everyone can down tools at once to press the management to step up not by joining a union. my sibling was one of such affected,it's quite sad really when you treat citizens unfairly while you hold foreigners to high esteem.Similar thing happened at Huawei company in Nigeria where Chinese citizens are prioritized to the detriment of Nigerians. As a Nigerian company I think dangote should do better. The company should be the pride of the black race and Nigeria in particular |
