When I started out as a boy who came from a poor home. I saw all these yahoo opportunities but I stood my ground and refused to change my mind.

Don't fall for all this yahoo thing,it is deeper than u are seeing.

Start small and grow from there and God shall see u through. Sincerely speaking,I started very small but today,I earn very huge amount of money monthly because I believed in myself and I worked towards it.

but today government is making society frustrating

I’ve been thinking about this for weeks, and I just need to say it out.
I have a friend—we graduated together. Same class, same struggles.
After NYSC, we were both job hunting. Sending CVs, attending interviews, doing everything the “right way.”
Nothing was working.
Then one day, he told me he wanted to “try something.”
I didn’t take him seriously at first.
Few months later… everything changed.seriously at first.

This guy moved to a better apartment.
Started dressing differently.
Bought a car.
Even started sending money to people.
At first, I was happy for him.
But deep down… I knew.
Meanwhile Me…
I’m still here:
Applying for jobs
Managing small gigs
Counting every naira before spending
Sometimes I sit down and ask myself:spending
Sometimes I sit down and ask myself:
“Am I the one doing it wrong?”
Because let’s be honest…
Nigeria no really reward patience again.
The Part That’s Messing With My Head
This guy is not even hiding it.
He once told me:
“Guy, forget all this suffer-suffer. This country no send you.”
That statement has been ringing in my head.statement has been ringing in my head.
I’m Stuck Between Two Worlds
One side says:
Stay legit
Keep pushing
Your time will come
Another side says:
Look around
See reality
People are cashing out fast
I won’t lie… the temptation is real.
But At What Cost?
Every day, I keep asking:
What happens if things go wrong?
What about peace of mindpeace of mind?
What about the future?
Because fast money sometimes comes with long problems.
I Just Want Honest Opinions
No insults, no judging.
If you were in my position, what would you do?
Stay patient and keep grinding…
Or follow the reality on ground?

If you spend just 10 minutes on Instagram, TikTok, or even WhatsApp status, you’ll think Nigeria is one of the richest countries in the world.
People are buying cars every week.
Luxury apartments everywhere.
Soft life, enjoyment, vacations, clubbing, designer clothes…
At this point, you’ll even begin to question yourself: “Am I the only one suffering in this country?”
But step outside social media and face reality.
Fuel prices are high.
Food prices are rising daily.
Jobs are scarce.
Many graduates are at home or managing small hustles just to survive.
So what exactly is going on?

Mark my word, 2027 presidential election will be marred by low turnout of eligible voters. Tinubu will be declared winner at the end of the day. The opposition parties are not any better but only noisemakers. Ask Mr Saint obi his economic plans for the country. Well, I have listened to him many times but he is unenterprising and empty. Yes, Tinubu is making some hard and difficult decisions especially in regards to monetary and fiscal policies but if sustained for ten to fifteen years, Nigeria will be ushered into economy prosperity. Insecurity is a great danger to many positive reforms by dis government. And I have said it that there is no end to insecurity in Nigeria if the Northerner emirs , imams and politicians do not come together irrespective of political parties,ethnicity or religions and tell themselves the truth by addressing social-economic gaps among their people especially those from the core North...

well am not in support of any candidate but what I want is that we should not vote base on emotions,. Cos if you does ,the pains of those passing through poor governance will revisit you and your lots.

If tinubu can win with all these obstacles even as an ordinary citizen, tell me why he won't win now as an incumbent n all those factors aren't there again

Good. What I want you to know is that over 95% of elected candidates spent millions, some in billions to achieve their aspirations. This money comes from sponsors or Godfathers.
In regards to the constitution and the spirit of separation of power,we need to remind ourselves that elected officials are not answerable to another.
This brings me to ask another question. In democracy,is it possible for an elected president to sanction a governor for corruption or stop senators that are to endorse every budget and extra budgetary allocations not to implement budget padding

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I want honest opinions.

Growing up, we were told one thing: “Work hard, stay focused, and you will succeed.”
But looking at Nigeria today… is that still true?

Everywhere you turn, you see people grinding non-stop — graduates, skilled workers, hustlers — yet many are still struggling to survive. Meanwhile, some people seem to “make it” overnight, with connections, luck, or things nobody can fully explain.

So it raises a serious question:

👉 Is hard work still enough, or is the system just designed to frustrate the average person?

Let’s be real:

- You can have a degree and still be jobless
- You can work 12 hours a day and still be broke
- You can do everything “right” and still not move forward

At the same time, we also see people winning big — building businesses, traveling abroad, living soft life.

So what really makes the difference?

Is it:

- Luck?
- Connections?
- Smart work over hard work?
- Or just being in the right place at the right time?

I’m not trying to sound negative, but this is reality for many young Nigerians right now.

- “Connection” over competence

Yet, many youths are still hustling daily—online businesses, freelancing, learning tech skills, side gigs.
