Utter tosh!!

You're talking out of your ar.se. Like Gbawe highlighted, Nigeria has tried to frustrate Lagos and its rapid growth - however, it has continued to fail.

Anyway, SS and SE control the center now - how about tell your folks at the center to dissolve the country? undecided
If Nigeria wanted to stunt the growth of lagos,it wouldn't be a difficult task.
Lagos actually has stunted the growth of many states.
Btw,you don't except GEJ to start championing the division of the country,do you?
The SE/SS have been very clear that they want the division of the country, the SW in collaboration with the North are the ones championing the "One Nigeria" slogan.

And is the forum owned by Nigeria?

Get out of here - you're not from Lagos!!

The topic is about Lagos, get it?
what's the meaning of this?
Is the forum owned by lagos?
When did lagos become a country?
You claim to live in England, yet you exhibit the tribalistic behaviour of your 14th century ancestors.
Get out of England, you're not from there.

Let the SW support the dissolution of Nigeria and make lagos their capital.

Utter tosh!!

Didn't the FG deny Lagos allocations for a few years time ago?

Well, the oil producing states have received trillions since 1999 - what have they done with it, to make their states commercially viable? Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Delta states have almost the same landscape as Lagos - how come none of them have been able to make use of that? They're only building mega-stadia, buying private jets, and other fvckeries.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

If you think Nigeria made Lagos - tell Nigeria to create another Lagos - period! Ooops, Abuja is just another glorified pensioner-city, that's not commercially viable. undecided
Stop yarning fuckery.
Lagos have enjoyed special priviledges from the centre for a very very long time even before the creation of some of those states you mentioned.
Okay,OBJ made a blunder and witheld lagos states funds, which has now been paid to lagos state with interest by the yar'adua govt.
Infact lagos state have sucked a lot of FG funds that should have been for the Niger-delta,which is one of the agitations of the militants.
If the SW feels lagos is big enough to support them, then they should support the dissolution of the country.

Its already taking shape. brof.
Federal government world over have one thing in common and that's expensive non-value adding bureaucracies,a country like Nigeria led by petty, incapable central government cant be different but the story here isn't about what the federal government is doing or what gave Lagos its advantage.it's about a state consolidating its position and using the strategic advantage it has to buy what it hasn't;financial and political autonomy.
I agree.
Lagos should take advantage of its opportunities and advantages as Nigeria's economic capital.
Lagos should leverage on the potential and might of the Nigeriam state.

scipher: you don't get it do you? Lagos compete with countries..
And so?
The GDP of california is bigger than Nigeria, yet it is still within the USA.
If we were practising true federalism, the GDP of many Nigerian states would be bigger than most african countries.
