just thinking that Obama's star is about to become much bigger. I think Biden will appoint him as a kind of Ambassador to check elections in other countries, like what Goodluck Jonathan is doing. Coz after all this trump nonsense, the world need to be reassured democracy is strong and no better person to portray that than Obama worldwide. |

Harvard University petition demands ‘accountability’ for Trump officials before they speak on campus A petition circulating at Harvard University is drawing the ire of some allies of President Trump for demanding that the school require “accountability” for members of his administration before they are allowed to speak or teach on campus. The open letter from Harvard affiliates cites Trump’s refusal to concede the presidential election and attempts by some members of his administration to baselessly claim widespread voter fraud. Inviting those Trump allies to Harvard would legitimize subverting democratic norms, warn the signatories, whose names are not visible on the petition. “That is why today we are asking you to set up a system of accountability for high-level political appointees and Trump administration consultants before they are invited as fellows or to teach or speak on campus,” the letter says. “These accountability guidelines should be publicly shared with students by the end of the calendar year.” The petitioners also call on the university to “fully vet speakers for their role in undermining” democracy and either “boldly confront” them for it or decline to invite them to the school at all. It was unclear who created the open letter or how many people have signed it. University spokesman Jason Newton said the school was aware of the petition but declined to comment further. https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2020/11/19/harvard-trump-petition/?itid=lk_fullstory |

Obstruction of justice case is waiting, emoluments clause case, Jean carrols case, the other lady he raped case in on, NY AG tax fraud and trump org case is on, Manhattan AG case in on, not to talk of what Biden could still uncover especially with trump awarding Federal lands to oil companies. By MEG KINNARD, Associated Press Three attorneys have filed an ethics complaint against U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham Three attorneys have filed an ethics complaint against U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, accusing the South Carolina Republican of pressuring a Georgia elections official to toss out legally cast absentee votes in the presidential race. In a complaint filed Wednesday with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics, Claire Finkelstein, Richard Painter and Walter Shaub "urge the committee to investigate whether Senator Graham suggested that Secretary Raffensperger disenfranchise Georgia voters by not counting votes lawfully cast for the office of president." They also "demand clarity as to whether Senator Graham has threatened anyone with a Senate investigation of the Georgia vote tally and or taken steps to initiate such an investigation." The complaint also requests that Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, “be recused from any investigation or other Senate matter relating to alleged irregularities in the 2020 election” while any probe of his comments is ongoing. The complaint stems from comments by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who said this week that Graham asked him whether he had the power to reject certain absentee ballots, a question Raffensperger interpreted as a suggestion to toss out legally cast votes. Raffensperger told The Washington Post he’s faced rising pressure from fellow Republicans who want to see Democrat Joe Biden’s narrow lead in the state reversed. The Associated Press has not declared a winner in Georgia, where Biden leads President Donald Trump by 0.3 percentage points. There is no mandatory recount law in Georgia, but state law provides that option to a trailing candidate if the margin is less than 0.5 percentage points. It is AP’s practice not to call a race that is – or is likely to become – subject to a recount. Election officials have said a hand recount has turned up more than 5,000 votes in four counties that weren’t previously counted but won’t alter the overall outcome of the race, in which nearly 5 million votes were cast in the state. Officials have said the margin between Trump and Biden will be about 12,800 votes when those previously uncounted votes are accounted for. When Georgia voters return an absentee ballot, they have to sign an oath on an outer envelope. County election office workers are required to ensure the signature matches the one on the absentee ballot application and the one in the voter registration system, Raffensperger has said. “He asked if the absentee ballots could be matched back to the envelope,” Raffensperger told The Associated Press this week, of his conversation with Graham. “I thought that then Sen. Graham implied for us to audit the envelopes and throw out ballots of counties who had the highest frequency error rate of signatures, and I told him that’s something that we couldn’t do.” Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop called the attorneys “longtime vocal critics” of both Graham and Trump, adding, “Their complaint should be viewed in that light.” Painter has called Graham “Putin’s favorite senator,” while Finkelstein said this week Trump “will likely be indicted” after leaving office. Schaub, the former head of the federal Office of Government Ethics, complained in 2017 about Graham’s tweets that he said improperly promoted Trump International Golf Club. When asked about the conversation with Raffensperger, Graham said Monday that he was “trying to find out how the signature stuff worked” and that Raffensperger “did a good job of explaining to me how they verify signatures.” Asked about Raffensperger’s interpretation that he was suggesting legally cast ballots should be thrown out, Graham said, “That’s ridiculous.” Trump -- who has made unfounded claims of widespread voting irregularities and fraud — and his campaign have repeatedly taken to social media to criticize Raffensperger and the way the state’s hand tally was being conducted. Once the hand tally is complete and the results certified, the losing campaign can request a recount, which would be done using scanners that read and tally the votes. County election officials were instructed to complete the count by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday. The deadline for the state to certify election results is Friday. https://www.ajc.com/news/georgia-news/graham-facing-ethics-complaint-over-georgia-ballots-question/UHNMM57VRFAPPOFPSYCG33CVLQ/ |
Current and former Trump officials quietly reach out to Biden team Washington (CNN) - A handful of current Trump administration officials, as well as some political appointees who left in recent months, have quietly started to reach out to members of President-elect Joe Biden's transition team, according to people briefed on the matter. The outreach is a sign that President Donald Trump's refusal to concede the election and the continued obstruction from the White House is beginning to frustrate even those affiliated with the administration. The General Services Administration still has yet to acknowledge Biden's victory and begin the formal transition. As a result, Biden and his team remain locked out of access to contacts with the federal agencies, funding to help ramp up government hiring for the new administration and access to classified intelligence briefings. One former Trump official told CNN they're viewing the outreach effort as putting duty to the country over partisan considerations. The conversations are not as detailed as formal briefings that would take place under the officially sanctioned transition, sources said, but they at least could help incoming Biden transition members have a sense of the issues they might have to deal with upon taking office. Another former White House official who left the administration a few months ago said that he personally emailed someone who he expects will be back in the Biden administration in a similar role to his and offered to help. One current administration official confirmed to CNN on Wednesday that there has been informal outreach from inside Trump's government to Biden's team. "Nothing that would get us in trouble," the official said. "Just an offer to be of help. They know what we mean, and what we can-and-can't do or say." 'It's a terrible situation': Inside a government bureaucrat's pressure-filled decision to delay the transition The official said that outreach thus far hasn't resulted in any substantive conversations. A senior adviser to Biden acknowledged the outreach from across the government, but declined to comment. A separate Biden aide said the assistance was appreciated and in several cases was an outgrowth of pre-existing relationships in specific fields, but noted that it was not nearly as robust as a traditional transition of power. "It requires more than former officials choosing to step forward and be helpful to ensure a smooth transition of power," Kate Bedingfield, deputy campaign manager and transition adviser to Biden, told CNN. "GSA should follow the law and ascertain the results of the election so that Americans get a smooth and effective hand off between administrations." https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/18/politics/trump-officials-reach-out-biden-transition-team/index.html |

Fact check: The U.S. military has not seized election servers in Germany Social media users have been sharing posts which allege that the U.S. military raided the offices of electronic voting company Scytl in Germany to seize their servers for evidence of manipulation in the 2020 U.S. elections. However, Scytl said in a statement that the U.S. army has not seized anything from them and they do not have offices in Germany. An article (here), called “INTEL: US Military Raided Scytl Servers in Germany For Evidence After Vote Switching Scandal”, was published by GreatGameIndia, and shared on social media here , here and here . The article claims, “According to intelligence sources US Military raided voting machine company Scytl servers in Germany for evidence of manipulation in 2020 US Elections […] The votes cast by Americans in 2020 US election were counted by a bankrupt Spanish company Scytl in Spain.” As supposed proof, the article references comments made without supporting evidence by Representative of Texas first congressional district Louie Gohmert’s on Newsmax (here), and also allegedly on a video call shared widely on social media (here , youtu.be/GbgZzA_mSpE , here). Gohmert said, “I don’t know the truth. I know that there was a German tweet in German saying that on Monday, U.S. army forces went into Scytl and grabbed their server.” He claimed Scytl had information that could show how many votes had allegedly been switched from Republican to Democrat. The Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council Executive Committee and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council said in a statement that election security officials have no evidence that ballots were changed, deleted or lost by voting systems in the Nov. 3 U.S. elections, and that this election “was the most secure in American history.“ Republican President Donald Trump has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud (here). Scytl (here), headquartered in Barcelona, delivers election modernisation projects for the US elections, including but not limited to online election worker training, electronic ballot delivery for remote voters and real time online visualisation of electoral results (here). The Scytl website shows that the company has eight offices around the world but none in Germany (www.scytl.com/en/contact/). Scytl published a statement on its website (here) refuting all of the claims made in the article and social media posts: “Following several erroneous statements that have been published in digital and social media, Scytl would like to clarify the following […] The technologies implemented by Scytl in the US are both hosted and managed within the US, by a local subsidiary, SOE Software, based in Tampa, Florida; We do not tabulate, tally or count votes in the US; We do not have servers or offices in Frankfurt; The US army has not seized anything from Scytl in Barcelona, Frankfurt or anywhere else.” The U.S. army was not immediately available for comment. The article shared on social media also cites a tweet (here) by George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser who was sentenced to 14 days in prison for lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials, (here) which says, “Breaking: Congressman Louie Ghomert has stated that The U.S. Army has seized servers for Dominion in Germany”, referencing Dominion Voting Systems, a company that supplies election technology (www.dominionvoting.com/about/). This tweet and this claim are also being shared on Facebook (here , here). Ghomert was talking about Scytl, not Dominion, when speaking on Newsweek and in the video conference shared on social media. Scytl said in the statement that they are not tied to Dominion. Reuters has recently debunked other false claims related to Dominion and alleged voter fraud (here , here , here , here). VERDICT False. Scytl confirmed in a statement that they have not been raided by the U.S. army and do not have offices in Germany, and that it is not linked to Dominion Voting Systems.
