IrewumiO: RE- OOU FEE REDUCTION MOVEMENT (OFRM)
Acknowledging the widespread Press Release by OFRM,
It is pertinent to reiterate to Oouites our dogged
commitment and relentless efforts at ensuring that
there exist a downward review of OOU Tuition fee.
In spite of the fact that the paramount course of OFRM
is fee reduction, and which of course, the Students Union
Government, on several occasions have made it known
to Oouites that necessary moves and consultations are
ongoing. The Students Union Government remains an
independent, but Intellectual Unionists who will never
engage in a mob action or mob advocacy. Suffice to say,
that anything that will be done, will be done in a proper
way and manner.
The Students Union Government understands that it is a
fundamental right of a person or a group of individual to
express their minds, especially on sensitive issues that
have to do with their careers, and so, we want to inform
this group and every concerned students that we are
adequately consulting all appropriate quarters on this
matter so that at the end of the day, we all can
convincingly reach a logical conclusion, thereby students
will know that we have not betrayed them, even their
academic interests. But then, we want students and
bodies like OFRM to engage in constructive criticism
and not destructive, because we understand that most
times criticisms are helpful.
Oouites, please be rest assured that we are fully
involved in this course. We can never be intimidated or
dismayed because affordable tuition fees is our right.

onlyme07: Nope..you pay for books and medicals only in your first semester of 100level, 30k for practicals and 1k for library would be paid every semester.

The school fees for last session was 153k and this session might be a little more but not more than 10k would be added.

Any park you see a bus going to Ile- ife, get into the bus, tell the driver you are droping at Ipetumodu the university before OAU. Its by the road side, just look at the other direction where you get to bumps where travellers are offered akara (bean cake) to buy.

I can't give you the school fees for the new session seems there would be an upward review though, not too sure but last session fees for computer science was 205k including practicals, books, medicals, library, hostel and school fees.

That's for a semester because we usually pay oer semester.

I stay in lagos ,nd am I gona be paying for medicals and books every semester? , so m tinkn d skool fees alone should be around 140 sumtin ryt?

onlyme07: The admission form is still on sale at the admission office of the main campus for 5k. Come early on any thursday in July and August. You would write your post utme same day to reduce cost. Any question?

This is to inform all oouites that,this is the time we
have to fight for our right,if we can't fight for it,nobody
can fight for us, oouites education is free and all fingers
are not equal.Amosun enjoyed free education during his
days,why can't we enjoy the same,why should we be
emotionally,psychologically,mentally,stressed. Our
parents are boiling day & night because of this so
called"exorbitant"school fees. Oouites,nobody can fight
for you,this is our time to fight for our right,nobody will
defend us,we will defend ourselves..............there for,let's
us meet @the SUG building on monday july 2014 by
8am, No protest,just an ordinary consultation with the

Kunle106: the general cutoff is 180, the cutoff that will follow will be base on the department you choose. Its not hard if you study well and get yourself acquainted to the admission process. Why people didn't choose oou, I cnt say but if you scrow up of this thread you will see that the statistics of the people that choose oou and score 180+ is 4000+. Some myt had low utme score and other reasons like that..

Kunle106: you can get the past questions when you come around, I saw people selling it today but haven't confirm the price. Your subject combination should be maths, eng, phys, chem and maybe some current affairs

All these ppl supporting unaab here gan na wa o , can't u all see so many people are in pain and when you're in pain you're bound to say ridiculous tins ,to ma own opinion wah unaab did is not acceptable at all , we have all known unaab to accept 180 and above just like we all know unilag accepts nuin less than 200 ,instead of giving us alternatives you all are here sayn 'wat funaab did is not bad 'blah blah blah mtcheew
