original waec report is released 3yrs afta u've written d exam....2 evaluate ur result u hv 2 go to d ministry of education at alausa secretrait at ikeja, it doesn't take up to 3days 2 get it evaluated

The guy who interviewd me was on old guy in booth 8. Although he denied one or two persons before me, he was quite warm and friendly.

The guy in booth 7 was young and harsh. denied almost every one that he interviwed. He had one kind of face dat said you CAN'T bullshit me. Imagine what he asked one guy, "this school is very expensive and in a very expensive city, why do u chooose to spend this ammount of money instead of investing it in your future in Nigeria". after that question d applicant just the fumble, na im my guy deny am oh!!

The babes in booths 6 and 9 are sha thorough oooo. The questions I heard them asking people enh? Like say na state CID interrogation. But they were granting sha.

deevick246: Did you add the Bank commission to the $200? Or don't you know that the bank will charge you for the western union transfer? The bank charge is usually between $25 to $35.

u guys are really funny or let me say....gettin me scared cs i'm yet to pay my own sevis fee. I hv a frnd who is based in togo, she entered naija d day b4 yesterday. She also tld me d current exchange rate is 3.1. Illustratn:$200x165=33000naira which is in naija currency. To change 2 CFA i.e cotonou currency u den do 3.1x33000=102000. She even tld me to remove d '.1' nd multiply only 3x33000=99000, dt dt is d actual amount. My ques is, is d cashiers at d bank are thieves as well?

dr_dolittle: Hello there..why dont u ask them about a possible extention first? Ask them this same question..they will reply you..cos I know their response will be the most accurate for you.But in case they cannot adjust the date for you,ask if you can do the medical tests here..I know the most important is always meningitis test.You can get some tests done in the general hospital close to you and also get some vaccinations and tests done in your local government.They will issue you the yellow card..Scan all the medical reports and the yellow card to them and then,you are good to go....that's my 2 cents o.

deevick246: I am seriously sick and tired of the kind of questions the new set of breeds here do ask. What concern the embassy with birth certificate for F1 visa? Even at worst if they need one your international passport can serve for that purpose (DOB). Infact, where did you hear it that the embassy don't honour/accept the local government birth certificate?

I have never heard on this thread since inception where birth certificate was requested from F1 visa applicant.

My advice to the freshers here is that you should endeavour to romance this thread well, start from the part1, for if you painfully do, you will gather enough information to start a F1 Visa consultancy agent. This thread is loaded.

To those of us scheduled for this july & August interview appointment (fall session 2012) it shall be success story IJN. Amen.

jimtosam: Try Expedited appointment. But if it's not working out, there is nothing bad about your appointment date.The implication of this is that you must be fully ready financially. Get your VISA approve 22nd, collect 25th, take off 25th night, Arrive US 26th, Resume 27th. Just Checked Calender now, 25th is Saturday. If VFS are not working on saturday, you might even be lucky to get on Friday, 24th or you get it latest Monday 27th. Write your school that you will arrive 28th, a letter will be sent to you so that you won't get issue at the POE. You take direct flight 27th, you will land in US 28th morning.Then, you can get to school before evening or 29th morning.Remember that first week is still orientation week so your school will surely approve your 29th request.

it says on d sch site dt evry student has to hv completd there medical test 10days b4 d first day of class nd d first day of class is 27th of aug wich makes 10days earlier to b 17th of aug meanin i hv 2 b there b4 dt date

rowlandoo: I think you will need to upload ur I-20 to the emergency form , sevis fee is not a criteria .

dr_dolittle: Brother dont bother yourself.All you need are two passport photographs that are 5cm by 5cm and with white backgrounds to be tendered to the embassy alongside your other document.. Check d embassy's site for further details concerning d photo..Just go ahead and complete your ds 160 form.You dont need to upload any pics.

leadzeal: Guys, I did pay my sevis fee today at cotonou. On my way there was pleasant but on my way back was hell. I got into the 'one chance' folks on my way back.jesus was so merciful to me. Am not goin to go into details but I employ you guys to be careful when goin there. My suggestion is dat u folks use the oda means rather than dis cotonou ti. I hope I get over this.

GboyegaD: Thank God for you. I really know how traumatizing this is. Unfortunately, people cannot send Western Union from Nigeria and not everyone has the privilege of having someone abroad to do this for them as such, Cotonou may be the only route. I would suggest if people can be meeting here and going in groups that way, you can drive to the boarder and walk down to make your payment and come back together.
In the alternative, we may have to start helping you guys to make payment from this end although I feel it is more expensive since the cost of transferring funds is a little on the high side.
