I bought an ODU last 2 Saturday’s ago (31st) and chose Wednesday (4th) as the day of installation, cos my sub on my first ODU was bound to expire Thursday (5th). Installer activated my device 30 minutes after paying for it on that Saturday and started calling me to come for installation. It pissed me off so much and i just couldn’t stand that my sub has been activated cos it was a waste as I already had one at home. To cut the long story short, an Airtel supervisor told me to collect the device from them and report the issue only when I had gotten the device. I received the device Tuesday (3rd), and my sub had been reading since Saturday . I called customer care last Saturday (8th), and asked to speak with a supervisor, complained bitterly and I was told that it would be investigated. I checked my data validity today to see that it has been extended by 1week extra.

Got a second router, I’ll be using for all tinkering. Glad it was same X17U router, with a straight forward band locking and cell locking tinkering, which I haven’t had a need to go into yet. I even plan on using the already good power bank that comes with it for my main router, great battery backup.
