That N187 was made possible by massive printing of naira and borrowing.

Fact is, we did not remove subsidy in 2012, when we should have. The result was that government was forced to borrow to maintain the subsidy. And that created a massive debt, and also forced the Buhari government to raid the forex reserves...just to pay for the subsidy.

The result was the subsidy being removed to at least allow the government have some spending money, otherwise things would have really been bad.

Most African countries charge as high as NIgeria, most even higher. Only five african countries have some form of subsidy on fuel, and even those, (apart from Libya that can pay for subsides and refinery upkeep without breaking a sweat because they have a very small population)...maintain it at the expense of debt. If all African countries subsidsied fuel like we do, even the oil producers, they would have collapsed economically ages ago.

Choose your wickedness...removal of subsidy with harsh price increases but the chance of improved domestic refining and more jobs, and no more borrowing to fund subsidy, or maintianing subsidy with the borrowing it entails.

since subsidy was removed, have the borrowings stopped? Is there any improved domestic refining ? Minus the privately owned one the govt had nothing to do with.

Although , Airtel is very good in my area , never have any issue with it except one or twice throughout since last year , I want to try the mtn for trying sake , 1 if one retrieve the sim to physical sim , can it work in normal mtn router ?

3. Yes. That’s what I’m even using currently. Ever since I bought my MTN, it’s only the Airtel power bank that I have been using with it.

Please those using the MTN ODU or are well versed with it, please is their anyway solution or script solution for band locking? MTN is good here but because of the lack of band locking, it automatically locks to a congested tower.

So the installer that came to mount my MTN ODU router mentioned that the ZTE model of the Airtel ODU is mostly affected by network issues compared to the ZLT.

He is an experienced installer and has done over 200 installations for Airtel.

I have to agree with this. I rarely experience those network issues mentioned here. Like rarely. I own the ZLT.

Does that lives in ibadan you can visit any mtn shop closest/available to you. A friend just got his MTN ODU today 20/05/2026 from there for 30k . I think this will be good for new users who are just coming into the ODU shit. Compare to airtel 40k package/installation

Now I did the lord's work and opened zlt x17m guess the modem/chipset inside MEDIATEK T750 now someone with the zlt x17u should open it up and tell us the chip inside coz based on theoretical speeds of 3.67Gbs it is either a similar chipset or a lower one
