Stop being delusional.

So the late Isiaka Adeleke, his brothers - Dèjì and Démọ́lá(Governor of Osun State) - and Dúpẹ́ are what again?

Yẹmí Àlàdé is what then?
Even the names should have been enough for you to know their identities.

If not for the fact many Nigerian lack personal success and fulfillment, meaning they must claim the greatness of others they have ethnic and clan affiliation with, then what is this stupid thread existing for?

Why the desperation to claim this guy as an ethnic kinsman?

Let any celeb or dignitary freely claim whatever ethnicity they want. No bonafide Yoruba should try and co-opt anyone to feel, think or identify as Yoruba whatever their status.

To me, it is never an omoluabi trait to famz those who do not not understand what it means to be Yoruba and do not take pride in our immense heritage, culture and glorious empire history (eg Ife and Owo Kingdom) that are some of the greatest in Africa.

Some Yorubas need to stop embarrassing us trying to claim this basketball dude or others like him who are conflicted about their ethnicity. It is what Igbos l, like the OP, do because deep inferiority complex leaves them wanting to claim all successful folks even if 0.0001% Igbo.

Yorubas never do that because, generally, we understand what genuine, historical and contemporary greatness means.

It is ignorant and poorly educated Yoruba ‘skits generation’ ,jumping into the mud of asinine d1ck comparison with insecure Igbos, like the OP, giving threads like this life.
"To me, it is never an omoluabi trait to famz those who do not not understand what it means to be Yoruba and do not take pride in our immense heritage, culture".
We dash them Chinedu Gbadebo and Ugo Giannis to massage their inferiority complex.

I guess the situation exits because Yoruba joined the northern regional elites to prosecute a war against Ndigbo and Biafrans. During the period of war, Ndigbo saw exactly what Yoruba person represents, a turncoat.
So Professor Wole Soyinka is what? Is he not Yorùbá?

You hate the truth and reality just to justify your hatred towards Yorùbá.

Infact, Governor Adeleke speaks pure Igbo and Yoruba. He even campaigned with Igbo language.

Gbarebo was rejected because he is a tribalist. All his insults on the Yorubas were exposed before the election band that secured his defeat. Lots of people that voted Peter Obi voted for Sanwo Olu.

Governor Adeleke speaking Igbo below:

Exactly, I would have expected the Igbos not to entertain such disparaging remarks against Yorùbá made by Chinedu Gbadebo and condemn his that act. But alas, they are in full support of him making derogatory remarks towards Yorùbá.

They are not at fault sha.
It's a grave shortcomings of both Ugo Giannis and Chinedu Gbadebo's fathers.

Message to tribalists, don't think Giannis Ugochukwu Antetokoump doesn't know what you guys did to Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, also with Igbo mother, in the last Lagos election. I can tell you he's fully aware and disgusted by that side of him. He knows same fate awaits him in the future and him resembling Igbo makes it far more worse for him.

For him to come out openly at his age and stature to identify as Ugochukwu, should send a serious message to the tribalists in Southwest, to be aware of the implications of your actions. What you did to Gbadebo will have a ripple effect and a long distrust from children born by Yoruba father and Igbo mother to identify with the side that embraces them. I'm not here to tell you which side but these kids know which side they feel comfortable with.

Seun, this is not tribalism, this is meant to educate our people to understand the implications of their actions and to stop tribalism.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, was his mother not Igbo? Don't forget he was voted for as a senator before becoming the governor.

His brother was also a one-term governor of the state and was a senator that had represented Osun West Senatorial District.

So how and why is Chinedu Gbadebo's own different?

Rule 2
It seems you are suffering from Dunning-Kruger effect. And you somehow have a warped understanding of reality because if not, you wouldn't be mentioning the mods aimlessly every now and then.

In fact you deserve to be banned for raising a false alarm. To educate yourself, kindly read the rules of Nairaland before you comment so as to limit the undeserved mentioning of the mods. It's you that derailed this wonderful thread with your tribalism and I'm even more surprised that the mods are yet to ban you from commenting further.

So, it's safe to say that the mods are always against Yorùbá on Nairaland because if it were to be a Yorùbá that derailed any thread, such moniker would have been banned.
Seun and his mods are encouraging tribal slur against Yorùbá.

Ban that account permanently!

So sad to hear about this unfortunate incident even though death is inevitable for every human being.

Despite the initial political differences with Mr. President, he stood to be counted when it mattered most to ensure power shift to the south. His commitment to securing the south west region from criminal herdsmen which led to the creation of Amotekun was a watershed in the history of Yoruba and indeed Nigeria. A real warrior leader. He will be sorely missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

He will be sorely missed bàjébàjé.
May God comfort the family.
