In 2011; out of the 360 seats in the House of Representatives, the PDP government of Jonathan had 203 seats. The rest 157 seats was spread among the oppositions. ACN had 69 seats, CPC 38, ANPP 28, LP 8, APGA 7, Accord 5, DPP and PPN with 1 seat each respectively.

Even if the oppositions unite to elect one of their own as the speaker, tell us how could they have pulled that off when their total seats 157 is less than Jonathan's PDP 203?
