Romance / Sex Is Not Love by Ochedi(m): 11:51am On Feb 15, 2015
Men are frustrated with women because they never
seem to want sex. Women are frustrated with men
because they always seem to want sex. Women
blame men that they don't how to love. Men blame
women that they only talk about love but don't
want to to prove it. One is not to for a 'blame
game' here but an attempt to put things in their
proper perspective should be made, as i have come
to understand that a lot of the heartbreaks that
are are left in the wake of most relationships are
due to undue expectaions.
I do not not see why one who is purely in a
relationship for sexual gratification should make
the other believe otherwise. I also do not think it's
realistic for any woman to assume that a man that
has looked her way (sexually) is readily in love with
her. Such women even begin to feel 'entitled'
because sex is involved...SEX IS NOT LOVE. It has
been said a thousand times that men and women
are wired differently, thus for a man, sex is a
physical act that eases the biological pressure he
experiences constantly. Only after this tension has
gone can a man begin to think straight. This is
why it often happens that men (in some cases)
disappear after the get what they want. It isn't
love; is just some hormonal pressure. SEX for most
men is a 'relaxant' of sorts.
Having sex early in a relationship can be hazardous
for the woman (who wants more from a man); the
man has not had the time to develop any romantic
feeling for her. He needs time to develop those
feelings and it is not what sex alone can achieve.
Indicators of love in every relationship are rather
substance based. For example, realising that
friendship is an important ingredient of love and
TRUE LOVE is knowing that you can enjoy each
other's company thoroughly, without first rushing
to the bedroom.
Things have become so pathetic that some people
don't even what to discuss with each other once
the 'sex marathon' is over. What i am saying is
that if the only thing that seems to bind a lady to
a man is sex, then none should delude him/her into
that love is at work.
SEX is not love. Love is not sex. You can have sex
and not be in love. You can be in love and not
engage in sex. A man may not be crazy about you
and still have sex with you. Using sex to
manipulate a man may not always have desirable
ending.
It is self - deception for a woman to think that
giving a man sex will make him love her. TRUE
LOVE WILL NEVER MAKE SEX A PRIORITY. A man
who doesn't love you will not change his mind
because of sex. If he tells you to 'PROVE YOUR
LOVE' by having sex with him, he is only in for sex,
'better sex' will take him away from you.
Love never shames or degrades. If you have made
the mistake of trying to use sex to buy a man, now
is the time to reassess your relationship and build
it on the right foundation.
SEX is good but there is more to a lasting
relationship. Let a man get married to you because
he loves you, honours you, feel a strong emotional
and spiritual connection with you and wants to
spend the rest of his life with you

@lomprico. wat if u're mistaken and might just b misinterpreting the Pastor. its a "wat if"..u'll end up facing God's wrath.

and even if the pastor has lost his way afta years of faithfulness Ur still doesn't mean we should atrack dem. Remember Saul lost d anointing 2 years afta becoming king yet he ruled for 38 long extra years. during dis whole period David saw it a crime against God to hurt Saul. check out wat He did to d man who claimed to have killed Saul and u'll understand beta.

..and by d way,its God's business He should have d say.
if u lyk a pastor stay away from him. simple! don't cross Ur boundary by interrupting in God's business.

it myt look to u as though he is using his members.well d members ain't complaining. so while should outsiders. And most of d time d outsiders are wrong
Religion / Why Are Pastors Always Being Attacked? by Ochedi(m): 10:09am On Feb 15, 2015
ave you ever wondered why people find it easy
and convenient to run down pastors and cast all of
them in the same mold? Pastors are fraudulent,
they are thieves, they are no good.
The story can go on and on. I find it quite
intriguing when I listen to Christians make such
blanket and loose statements. There is no doubt
that there are pastors who are fraudulent. There
are those who are immoral. And there are those
who are involved in voodoo while calling on the
name of the Lord.
But my grouse really is: Why cast all of them in
the same mold? It is sad that you hardly hear
people talk about the great work that God is using
pastors to do in our society. Nobody talks of their
sacrifices. Nobody talks of the pain they go
through in trying to give birth to a sane society.
Nobody is talking about their labour of love.
I know of pastors who will rather use their money
to pay school fees of members children than use it
for urgent family needs. There are pastors who live
in rented apartments and yet have large
congregation they could take advantage of to have
their own building. I know of a professor (don't
want to mention name) who for years did not live
in luxury. And he is still not living in luxury. He did
not own a house of his own though he could
afford one.
He was so consumed in working for God and doing
missions that he forgot about personal comfort. At
a time in his life he rode on okada. He was ejected
from his uncle's house and he was left in the cold
until God intervened. (the intervention is a long
story)
Now, this man who turned down an offer to
lecturer in a foreign university having completed his
Phd programme to come back to Nigeria to do
missions now has a sprawling estate devoted to
mission work. He host mission conferences in the
estate in Kwara State. This professor is over 70
and he is still firing for the Lord.
Those who don't know his story will now come
and say he is fraudulent. Will that not be a
disservice? Many of the great men we find
convenient to run down today have had to pay one
price or the other to get to where they are.
Perhaps some of us do not know that the RCCG
G.O left his duplex as a lecturer at the University
of Ilorin to live in a dingy room in Imusin, Lagos as
the G.O. of the church. Now people see the
glamour and scream.
Recently, one Rev. Adah who runs a free school for
about 400 children in Taraba State was killed by
Fulani herdsmen. This man gave his life and
resources to children who are not his own. He fed
them free of charge and took care of them before
he was hacked down by agents of darkness. You
hardly read commentaries on such stories but
rather we dissipate so much energy talking about
the few bad eggs in the fold
While I do not subscribe to a flamboyant lifestyle, I
think is just normal that these men of God deserve
some level of comfort. And I think we should rather
promote the good they do than lay undue
emphasis on the bad ones among them.
I do not run a church and I don't know the
temptation that will make me run one. I don't even
like the title pastor. I'll rather remain a brother. But
when people say churches are now big businesses,
my simple reply is: go and start one and see how
easy it is to gather people. There is no doubt that
many have turned it to money spinning enterprise
but there are quite a lot who have been genuinely
called of God and who are doing God's bidding.
Let's tell the good story about these servants of
God. Lets talk about the exploits God is using them
for. Lets talk about the good things about them.
By doing that we will encourage them to do more
and perhaps the bad ones among them will take a
cue.

Religion / Question To Pastor Chris On The Relevance Of Tithing In Christ by Ochedi(m): 8:09am On Jan 23, 2015
Question : Dear Pastor, if I inherited all things through Christ, and I possess all things by Him, why do I have to give and pay tithe to be blessed, knowing that my blessings are not by my own works?

Answer : Very good question. Well, you were not told in the Bible (in the New Testament particularly) that except you give your tithes like you said, you will not be blessed.

That’s not what it said. In the Old Testament, you had to do that; you had to follow the commandments to be blessed. Now, in the New Testament, He’s not asking you to follow these commandments to be blessed, but the point is that God’s Word is a blessing to you. In other words, part of your inheritance in Christ is the very Word of God, His instructions. It says in the Bible that His instructions are righteous. That’s so important. The very fact that God tells you to do something is a blessing in itself.

So, part of the blessing that you have in Christ is that you are asked to do anything, so it is part of the blessing, and so giving is not the reason for your blessing, but it is the result of your blessing.Secondly, you have to understand that there is a law of sowing and reaping, and in the New Testament it is further emphasized, saying “…whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” [Galatians 6:7], “…He that soweth sparingly shall also reap sparingly; He that soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully.” [2 Corinthians 9:6].

In other words, it is a law of the Spirit. So, your giving is a form of sowing, like a farmer who is blessed with a farm, but he has to sow to get a harvest. So, God is not telling you that when you receive, it is a special blessing. No, it is conditioned on your sowing; it’s up to you. It is a play of the laws.

You work on the laws, and they work for you; you work against them, and they work against you. So, giving and tithing and all that you’ve just talked about actually are a means to your harvest. It’s not like God wanting to bless you afresh, no. But, the blessing is the very law of sowing and reaping which He has given to you, and He told you to give your tithes and your offerings and other kinds of giving that the Bible talks about.

Now, your tithing particularly is a form of partnership; tithing is a partnership. God didn’t say that “If you don’t give your tithes, you will not be blessed.”

The blessing is what brings about the tithing, because tithe means a tenth of that which God has blessed you with, so He has actually blessed you, and that is the reason for the tithe. Your tithing is a testimony of your blessing. He’s not saying, “Bring your tithe, so you will be blessed;” He is saying, “I have blessed you, so give me the tithe.”

Tithe is the tenth part with which you honour the Lord. Now, when you don’t honour the Lord like this, you are not recognizing that the Lord is the one that is blessing you and no one can say that God has never blessed him.

We have all been blessed by God in different measures, and we are all blessed. So, you probably got the teaching wrong as to giving your tithe to be blessed. No, you give your tithe, because you have been blessed; it is part of your testimony.

Romance / Funny But True: 20 Commandments Ladies Should Read by Ochedi(m): 8:07am On Dec 22, 2014
What you are about to read will
certainly make you laugh or smile or
might even crack your ribs depending
on how strong your ribs are. However,
embedded in the laughter are words, I
think, are truth. Let me quickly step
out of the way to allow you digest
every bit of the commandments.
Where they make you laugh, laugh.
Where they knock on your head, allow
the pain to penetrate very well. After
all, chloroquine is bitter yet it used in
dealing with malaria. I’m out of the
way. The next voice you will hear is
yours.
1. Thou shall not date any guy out of
sympathy. It is not worth it. It has
never worth the pain. Ladies beware!
2. Thou shall not do revenge
relationship a.k.a let me show my
boyfriend I can flirt too. Ladies, that
is inflicting more injuries on yourself
3. Thou shall not depend on any man
for your daily needs. It has brought
more pains than joy to some
ladies. Ladies, please!
4. Thou shall never fight over a man.
Such men usually don’t have regard
for ladies. Ladies, you can ask around
if you are in doubt!
5. Thou shall not remain in a violent
relationship. You are supposed to be
his sweetheart not a punching bag. If
he’s looking for whom to punch, refer
him to Mike Tyson. Ladies, abi?
6. Thou shall not give IT to him. If he
wants IT that desperately, he should
put a ring on it. Funny enough, men
can wait if they see your worth it.
True!
7. Be bold when men toast you. Stop
cutting flowers or drawing circles with
your leg. Enjoy the ‘toasting’. Don’t
forget to pay attention to the pick up
lines. Some pick up lines can crack
your ribs.
8. If you are not sure of your man
especially if the relationship is still
new, never take your girlfriend to his
house or give her his number or BB
pin. Odikwa very risky!
9. As soon as you can, let your man
show his face to your people. Your
sister or brother or mother. This is
very key.
10. Material possessions are good but
never let them be the number one
factor in choosing a man.
11. Do not forget the golden rule.
Always sit like a woman. Some men
act like babies when a woman is not
properly seated. You know what I
mean!
12. Never think you can trap a man
with good sex. Fou fou fou… foul! It
is an aberration.
13. Be good to men but be firm. Yes
firm but don’t scare them away.
14. Men are not in short supply. Don’t
let them deceive you. Don’t believe
anything in the contrary. Don’t be
stampeded into a relationship.
15. If your purpose for financing a
man is to keep him, that could be a
big mistake. Finance for the right
reasons.
16. Men are not the same. Don’t listen
to “men are the same jare!” It’s a lie!
How many men have you met out of
about six billion people on earth? You
see am nau, abi?
17. Adventures can be sweet.
However, never embark on a long trip
to meet a man without informing
someone. Never!
18. Guys have a way of saying “don’t
let anybody know about us yet.” If the
relationship is up to three months and
counting, somebody should know
about it jor! Better things, they no dey
hide am.
19. They say good girls love bad boys.
And as a good girl, you are looking for
a bad boy to love? OYO for you! Let
bad girls love bad boys and good girls
love good boys. Nobody should use
your head to catch a bullet.
20. Enjoy being single. It does not last
forever.
