Please pardon my naivety and ignorance. What exactly are you guys taught? I am more than certain you are not taught Computer science. Information Technology is only a subset of CS, so how can you possibly know more than someone with a degree in CS?

what is your definition of computer science?
A computer scientist should be able to write codes, programs, develop softwares, etc.
I'm yet to see a Nigerian university that teaches all that.

I need help folks. Any one that can help me out, I'd be grateful.
I'm using the portable proxy app with IDM for pc. Everything works just fine.
Problem is when I'm downloading a file. when I get a download of 75MB, my computer internet connection cuts off. I have to restart the process again while waiting for it to cut off at 75MB again.

ANyone with similar issue or solution?

Yop. That's what I'm doing right now now. At Aptech Calabar. our final year students are leaving this september. What they teach is better than NIgerian Universities.

Well the way I see it, it's like buying phones actually. Those buying those very cheap laptops are forced to upgrade every year because the hardware can't keep up. A gaming rig has hardware that will stay relevant at least 3 years post production. Na to close eye buy better one. The money will still be spent on laptops so why not just buy a great one and relax once?

There are plenty PCs out there at different prices in different shops. U just ve to be sure of wat u want and the price.
But u can go for Lenovo y50, lenovo y510p....Those are the two i know of at around dat price.

some nairalanders have the Y50 but their price mehn

checked the Y510p. seen it on Konga but those crooks be asking for 230k

U can also take a look at Lenovo Y510p! The lappy comes wit a single or dual(SLI) Nvidia Geforce GT 750m wit up to 6gig vram 1TB hdd, win8.1, 8gig ram, i7, backlit keyboard. But no optical drive tho.

But if u can up ur budget to like 170-180, the Lenovo y50 is the best i'd recommend. 8gig ram, i7, FHD resolution, nvidia gtx 860m wit about 4-6 vram. 1TB hdd, win 8.1. Really nice PC.
