The bus was conveying the alumnus of Command secondary school Nkwoagu Abakaliki who were coming for their annual convention. 5 persons died on the spot and 7 persons are receiving treatment at the emergency ward of Alex Ekwueme Federal teaching hospital Abakaliki.
The bus and passengers came all the way from Lagos.

it's not easy to escape, that's how the bus I took to delta in 2019 burnt when we reached mbiama to ashes, nobody survived
