The Lagos State police command is investigating circumstances surrounding the alleged defilement of a 14-year-old girl by her 45-year-old father, one Olawale Ibitoye in Ketu-Epe area of Lagos. It was gathered that Ibitoye who had been defiling his daughter since she was aged eight, had subsequently married her off to one Moses Okurukpe. The Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday, said the incident came to the fore when the victim became pregnant, was taken to a traditional medical home where she laboured for days before she was delivered of a stillbirth. “This is child marriage, sexual abuse and exploitation of the highest order,” he fumed. Contrary to the alleged crime, Ibitoye denied having any incestuous act with his daughter. Giving his own side of the story, he said: “When she was in SS1 she suddenly stopped going to school, but because I wanted her to be useful in life, I enrolled her in a sewing institute. She was in the habit of going out for days without returning home and when I challenged her, she would raise her voice at me. “She later brought Okurukpe home that she wanted to marry him. I told her I am not against her marriage but I wanted her to finish her training. So, she ran out of the house for a long time and when she came back, she returned with a six months old pregnancy. I asked who was responsible and she said it was Okurukpe. I called the man and informed him and he didn’t deny it. When she was nine months gone, she couldn’t deliver. “She later confessed that inspite of the fact that her husband had warned her not to have any sexual relationship with any other man while pregnant, she had had sex with two other persons which was a taboo in Okurukpe’s place. “They did the needed traditional acts and she was taken to a hospital where she gave birth but the baby died. It was later she started saying the nonsense that I had been sleeping with her. I didn’t sleep with her, she is my daughter and I trained her. Why would I do such wickedness?” he asked. click here below for more stories and source http://choicekingsoco..com/2018/07/two-arrested-for-defiling-teenage.html Mynd44 OAM4J Seun

• Governors to meet service chiefs over insecurity Troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole in the North East have killed six terrorists and rescued 33 hostages during a clearance patrol of Damboa and Bama council areas of Borno State. The soldiers, who were deployed from 242, 151 battalions and 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, also recovered six AK-47 rifles and arms during the military exercise. The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen. Texas Chukwu, in a statement yesterday in Maiduguri, said the recovery followed a coordinated exchange of gunfire where the captives were successfully freed at Bulabulin and Falamari villages. He said: “Troops of 151 Battalion while on patrol along Myanti-Darel Jamel Road in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State encountered some Boko Haram terrorists. One of the insurgents was neutralised during the encounter.” Chukwu went on: “Troops of 21 Brigade while on clearance operation at Yerimari Gana and Darel Salam villages in the outskirts of Bama Local Government Area of Borno State neutralised one Boko Haram terrorist. “Items recovered include one AK 47 rifle, one Magazine, 26 rounds of 7.62 mm (special) ammunition, three improvised rounds of ammunition, three pairs of military uniform and one solar panel. “Thirty three persons, comprising eight men, 12 women and 13 children, were also rescued by the troops during the operation.” The spokesman said the rescued captives had been profiled and handed over to the appropriate authorities. Meanwhile, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is to meet with service chiefs over the prevailing insecurity in the country. Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja after a closed-door meeting, the forum’s chairman and governor of Zamfara State, Abdul Aziz Yari, decried the recent killings on the Plateau and the current state of security nationwide. According to Yari, the governors will continue to engage the Federal Government and leaderships of the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Nigeria Custom Services (NCS) and other security agencies to curb leakages, hoarding, diversion, smuggling and illegal hike in ex-depot or retail pump price to safeguard the nation’s energy security. His words: “Governors unanimously called for the prosecution of perpetrators of the attacks and resolved to find a quick and common solution to the security crisis. The Forum has also resolved to pay a condolence visit to Plateau to commiserate with the government and people of the state. “The Forum also received a presentation from the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC)/ Chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Dambatta, on broadband development in Nigeria.” “Governors acknowledged the importance of broadband deployment for both economic development and revenue generation and pledged to work closely with the commission and infrastructure companies to remove impediments to broadband deployment, including unifying rights of way charges as well as addressing multiple regulation and taxation.” http://choicekingsoco..com/2018/06/troops-kill-six-terrorists-rescue-33.html cc; lalasticlacla Mynd44 OAM4J seun

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, has ordered the destruction of a shrine located under the Opebi link bridge allegedly belonging to members of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC). Edgal, who led detectives to the shrine yesterday said the operators carry out trial on their victims and declare judgment against them. According to him, going by the items found in the shrine, some of the victims were tortured to force them to own up to a particular crime they are being tried for. He said three persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in activities around the shrine, while three POS machines allegedly being used to extort money from victims were recovered. Aside the three POS machines, other items found at the shrine included mobile telephones and ATM cards belonging to some victims. Addressing newsmen at the scene, Edgal said some officials of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Security and Safety Corp (LSNSC) had informed the command of the suspicious movement of people in and out of the shrine. He said based on the strength of the information, he directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ikeja division to investigate the matter. “Based on the directive, a team of undercover policemen led by the DPO mounted surveillance around the area. Yesterday (Monday) officials of the Neighbourhood Security Safety Corps saw a man who was being dragged into the shrine. They were attracted to the place by the screaming, which they heard coming from the victim. They quickly informed the DPO who moved his men to the scene where three persons were arrested and the victim rescued. “In as much as we believe in community policing and community partnership, let me sound a note of warning to any group of persons who may want to take laws into their hands that the command will deal decisively with members of such groups. “Members of OPC have been helpful to the command in the past. We see them as partners, but as you can see, some group of persons under the guise of OPC have erected an office under the Opebi link bridge where they take people to try them by ordeal. They also have a shrine here where I believe they force victims to take oath. We will not tolerate this in any part of the state. “Three persons have been arrested. One of the victims was freed. We are investigating and all those behind this barbaric act will soon be rounded up. When they are arrested they will be made to face the wrath of the law,” he said. Some auto technicians who operate under the Opebi link bridge said the operators arrest and tortured their victims openly. The mechanics who do not wish to be named said the operators open up case files for complainants after which the persons being accused is dragged before the shrine. According to them, victims are adjudged guilty even before trial begins and confessions are forced during torture. The Lagos police boss added that those arrested are being questioned at the command’s headquarters and that at the end of investigation, the command would be able to unravel the activities that went on around the area. He queried the rationale behind the move by the suspected OPC members saying that nobody or group of persons is allowed by law to detain a person. “As a law abiding citizen, you are only allowed to arrest and after which the suspect is handed over to the police who have the constitutional responsibility to investigate and after which charge the suspect to court. “What is POS machine doing inside their office. Investigation has revealed that some robbers go about with POS machine. They make their victims transfer money into their account at gunpoint. We are going to be thorough in our investigation. We won’t allow any miscreant to run amok in Lagos. I have also ordered that the shrine and the office be demolished,” he added http://choicekingsoco..com/2018/06/police-raid-destroy-opc-shrine-where.html cc; lalasticlacla OAM4J Mynd44 seun

Lionel Messi's Argentina will be in the World Cup's knockout rounds, but it was Marcos Rojo who was the unlikeliest of heroes. Marcos Rojo was Argentina's unlikely hero as his stunning late winner secured a 2-1 defeat of Nigeria that keeps Lionel Messi's side in the World Cup. The Super Eagles were heading through to the last 16 at Argentina's expense with four minutes to go of the final Group D game, but Rojo's sensational low volley saved Jorge Sampaoli's men and set up a showdown with France in the next round. Messi gave Argentina the lead in St Petersburg on Tuesday, the Barcelona superstar scoring a stunner to bring up the 100th goal of Russia 2018. But when Javier Mascherano dragged down Leon Balogun in the box shortly after the restart, Victor Moses stepped up to roll Nigeria level and within touching distance of progressing. watch video in the link below http://choicekingsoco..com/2018/06/nigeria-1-argentina-2-late-rojo-stunner.html cc; lalasticlacla semid4lyfe honeric01 Seun
