We cannot continue to live in self-deception,the time is now to tell ourselves(basically the Nigerian Youths)the bitter truth. We all lament that the youths of this great country,Nigeria are being kicked out of the corridor of power. This is not always so! It's high time we stopped shifting blames to the old men in power, that they are the ones depriving us the entrance to political LIMELIGHT. How true could that be? Let's critically examine these analyses below: There is no doubt that there are very few Nigerian Youths who are interested in politics, some don't even have PVCs; some don't belong to any of the political parties, infact the political apathy among Nigerian Youths is alarmingly high. How many Nigerian Youths have ever come out boldly and contested in an election, or do we fallaciously think political positions can just be given to anyone who never contested in an election? Okay, if we all think that corridor of power is shut against us, why not take up challenge and do the needful, so as to cease power democratically? You can achieve your political dreams if only you have the following: If you are politically ambitious(I mean,if you are interested in politics) If you have the support of the masses(people), If you can finance your political electioneering affairs/campaigns, If you consider yourself as someone who can take risks & not afraid of failure, If you are the kind that can convince people & thus make them to see reasons with you, If you are academically and socially enlightened, If you are futuristic, If you are not gullible, rather you are proactive, If you are that kind of person who upholds the tenets of fair play & thus promote the ethics of fairness, equity, transparency, accountability, if you are endowed with leadership qualities, If you are sensible enough, If you know you are capable of staring political affairs of any capacity & not afraid of anything whatsoever, If you are a man of integrity & focus, If you are the kind that is not acting base on prejudice, If you are not sentimental & not tribal bigot, If you know you have the finessé to embark on a political journey, even when you know the journey may not be easy thus it may be a journey of no returns, where the searchlight may dim to off(though with clear vision, your light may shine so others can see the road), If you already know all the things that are embedded in politics and you are ready to shoulder the qualms, then, I implore you to delve into the political terrain and market yourself to the people. There is no limit to what you can achieve as a youth. There is not Constitution that prevents the youth from contesting in an election, it's only in Nigeria that the youth have this sense of inferiority complex and feel that the old men in the political juggle will not give them the chance to take the mantle of leadership. Does one who never attempt or who never embark on a journey gets to his/her destination? NO! Let's all stop laying all the blames on those old men in the political horizon. THE YOUTH NEVER ATTEMPTED TO CONTEST, THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS HAVE VERY HIGH POLITICAL APARTHY,HENCE,THE CONTINUOUS STAYING IN POLITICAL POSITIONS(POWER) BY THE OLD MEN. Youths Arise and Shine. This 2023 general elections is another opportunity to take up the mantle of leadership of our dear country. Thanks.

The recent move by the University Of Benin, under the administration of Prof.Mrs SALAMI(the VC) is questionable,as she ordered an unjust increased in tuition fees from the sum of #41,400 to #61,400 within three weeks of resumption. The school authority has also threatened to automatically withdraw such students who may fail to pay their fees next week,18/09/2021. This has thrown many students who are yet to pay their respective fees into dilemma;as they are faced with two options,of either going extra miles in making sure they have their fees paid before then or risk their admission as students of the institution withdrawn automatically. This is seen as 'never-happened-before incident' in the history of UNIBEN. This onerous dastardly act by SALAMI led administration has become a hard nut to crack as students of university of Benin now look so frustrated. We are appealing to the relevant authorities and concerned civil rights organizations to help in taking up this matter. We request urgent action been taken before things gets out of hands. We are appealing to the Federal government, particularly the ministry of education to call the university of Benin Vice Chancellor to order for her maladministration and particularly her inhumane treatment of the students of this great UNIBEN,perhaps,Nigerian students. Please, every concerned Nigerian should please come to our aids,we are dying slowly. Thanks.
