Subsidy retention on the other hand is adding more debt to the 250 million people that would be paid back by generations yet unborn.It is also taking away monies for schools , hospitals and so forth from the masses to pay for cheap fuel that only benefits car owners. and maybe some small industries . Subsidy removal also will in the long run generate lots of jobs from the building of new refineries . Direct and indirect jobs as well as a lot of investment. That benefits the same 250 million people.

Also , if you cannot hold your leaders to account , including the governor's, maybe they desrve to keep on looting from you, since all you do is complain about it

Nigeria ran GSM without any subsidy or price control. That generated enough investment in the sector which led to a lot of jobs both directly and indirectly.

One can believe the above and still not support APC, which has failed in corruption fighting and electricity and insecurity. Tinubu must go next year. But right now, Nigeria does not have the money , thanks to decades of bad leadership, especially since 2015, to fund any type of subsidy

At best , agitate for a system of pipes to pump petrol all over the country from our domestic refineries. That would keep costs down and maybe reduce petrol by a bit . But the thing is refining crude is a very expensive business. A subsidy would make it difficult to fund that business.

How much has APC borrowed with 3 years and what’s the difference
