Emrixx: These people should be proscribed as a terrorist Organization and let the military take care of them I don't think it's a good idea to have them proscribed. Nigeria is a secular state and that means whether Sunni, Shiite, Christian, traditionalist or Free thinker, one is fully covered by the law to observe the doctrines of one's respective faiths. Now, here is a situation where a party (Federal government) claim that a group's way of practicing their religion portends danger, are they not supposed to channel the complaint to the court for sanctions if found guilty? I don't think anyone that means well for Nigeria's democracy should be on the side of the Federal government's way of handling this issue because the court has granted the man bail but the Federal government's disposition to dictatorship is aversed to the order of the court. We can't be in democracy and be persecuting people because of our subjective claims. The courts have been established to handle cases, let's respect the rule of law. |

Boyooosa: They almost don't have. They live 80% of their lives in the wilderness. But the truth is they were born just like u or me, they were just unfortunate to be delivered into wrong hands...bad parenting, ignorance, illiteracy, quite unfortunate. Worst still, the owners of those cows they roam after are billionaires/millionaires but they don't care. Their own children either school in abroad or are busy squandering the Ill gotten money in Nigerian clubs. The unfortunate innocent kids roam around the wilderness without anybody caring for them. Should we consider that as their own fate and forget about them? They look tattered, they stink, they look alien, tgey beg for money (N50 is their highest expected bill), they don't know anything about hope, they are more of animal natured than human but still they were born like u n I. They understand COW language better than any foreign language to them, the reason they take revenge when anything happens to their best FRIENDS. Nobody cares. Almajiris lifestyle is 100% better than theirs. Their masters don't want them to know that life is good out here, at least better than living with snakes and battling with scorpion bites everyday of their lives. Should we leave them to this sad fate or we do something in our own capacity? If we do, Mother Nature will bless us and if we ignore, we will continue to live with the terror that follows the abandonment. The riches are taking advantage of their unfortunate innocence, govt is trying to fix the problem in their own low capacity, myopic victims (Nigerians) are wailing. Is it not better to bring those kids out of the Bush and tell them that kids don't follow animals in the bush for a living in America? RUGA, either favorable to any region or not, if it can bring those kids out of Bush and offer them a good life, there would be no herdsmen in the bush those wicked people will share guns to, for killing. Think about it. their past record indicates that they forcefully enter people's farmland, destroy the farm produce, rape and kill the owners. sometimes they just enter houses to massacre owners and flee back into the bushes. how do you expect anyone to accommodate people with such brutal view of others' lives? |

Boyooosa: Note the word 'peacefully' bro. Every man has a tendency of committing crime depending on the circumstance and the guts. Even church workers commits rape and adultery; govt officials embezzle, spare parts dealers close and go robbing in the night, we have heard a lot and we have them a lot in our society. Drop that your bias thinking and lets all think of how to bring those poor, unfortunate and innocent children from the wilderness, they were born just like the way u and i were born. are you saying they don't have homes apart from wilderness? |

look at his lines......."to make them full Nigerians....." why are they bent on making non-Nigerians full Nigerians? So, I don't think it's about cattle alone. it is about land grabbing and extending the coast of a particular ethnic group, an agenda that if not buried will redefine this project called Nigeria. those behind the sinister motives should better listen to people's reaction and take some steps backward now that the situation is still manageable. But I also know that they won't listen to anything like what Ganduje has said because the agenda is deeper than mere cattle rearing. |

ekestic1976: "That's not true stop giving false information that is how you deceive people, who did Oshiomole fight, the Igbinedion for stealing the state blind and acquiring thousand of acres of land that he took back to the state, is that bad, stop deciving people. The present governor Obaseki was a nobody before Oshiomole made him who he is today, tell me if you have ever heard is name in Nigeria. The governor Obaseki is a divisive man he is dismantling Oshiomole is political structure to the extent that the last Apc primary, the governor went to the media to call results when he did not allowed electorate to vote, is that democracy, look how he can't even manage 24 Apc legislative members, the state party is extremely divided all because Obaseki doesn't know how to unite people. He gave proclamation with no time, date and venue, all to play out illegality and now it has backfired on him. Oshiomole is a unifier and a strong leader, the people that hate him are pdp sypathizers, Igbos and Ishan central of Edo state, they play their politics with hate and false propaganda just to destroy. The governor should go and put is house together, you are crying you couldn't even make decisions in federal appointment when you are destroying Oshiomole is structure and expect him to give you opportunity, when you are sacking commissioners loyal to the man, please wake up and change your ways, learn how to treat people well, be loyal to those that uplift you, stop taking advice from pdp in Edo state who are waiting in the wings to destroy Apc and steal the leadership and also you lack that fatherly qualities on how to unite and stop listening to gossip cause that's your major flaw". you could still have expressed your thoughts without the ethnic and party mentions as most APC members today were formerly PDP. And do you see a man who said that if you join APC, your sins are forgiven as a worthy leader? |
Politics › Re: "I Cannot Be A Governor And Not Be A Governor" - Godwin Obaseki Laments by Odisweet(f): 8:48am On Jul 20, 2019 |
that is one thing some governors don't know or pretend not to know. As the chief executive of a state, the governor has the duty to ensure total compliance of the law of the state by either indigens or residents from another place, thus anyone who is found going against the law would be disciplined according to the same law, if we had governors who fully understand the power bestowed on them, the security challenges we have wouldn't have been this bad. Fayose of Ekiti understood this power. |

the attitude which some ladies give to guys who approach to woo them is actually uncivilized. I'm a student and I've seen this many times especially on campus. A lady should be happy that many guys come her way for relationship but at the same time, should not allow her happiness to turn to pride. Some ladies because they feel they are beautiful and deserve a better guy than the dude standing before her, will not even respond to the guy's greeting let alone appreciate his kind words for her. I think that a lady can politely turn down a guy's approach without ruffling feathers or making the guy depressed for the whole day. if as a lady, you're in haste for a place and an unfortunate guy comes around at such time, you can politely tell him that you're in hurry to have any conversation or even if you are not in hurry and listened to him, your reply could be that you are in serious relationship that you wouldn't want to jeopardize. with such reasonable reply, you give the guy hope that it's not because of his height, pocket or look that you're refusing (even if it's indeed the reason, at least it shouldn't appear so). the guy could conclude that another lady might have his time or not be in relationship and then accept him. Being polite in response to people's requests even if they are beggers will help reduce SUICIDE, DEPRESSION, INFERIORITY VIEW OF ONESELF (which will limit the person's potentials) HOMOSEXUALITY, BISEXUALITY, LESBIANISM,etc. We just need to emulate English peeps' way of responding to issues of relationships. |
