The president is commander-in-chief of the armed forces. State governors are called chief security officers of their states. State governors receive security votes. How are security votes utilised?

Southwest has Amotekun. Is Amotekun controlled by Tinubu?

Southwest has local hunters. Do they need permission from Tinubu to protect their forests?

State governors are custodians of land. Can't they protect the land under their custody?

When terrorists were running rampage in Borno, former president Jonathan met Borno elders and they demanded he withdrew soldiers from their streets. He asked them to give a guarantee that they'd ensure their states are safe. No one agreed to do it.

Now, where are our elders? In Plateau, they murder your people; you cannot defend yourselves. In Oyo, children are kidnapped back to back, the governor has not taken pro-active steps to rid his state of terrorism. In Ondo, a pastor fled and allowed his son to be taken. Bandits and terrorists have taken a fight to our doorsteps, put pressure on the governors. They are chief security officers of their states and actually receive money for that role. There is no law that stops them from hiring vigilante.

The president should take over security in states if governors cannot defend their states. Funds for security votes should not be sent again.

Finally, what is the point of keeping bandits and kidnappers for long? Quickly try them and send them to meet their ancestors. Also prosecute the sponsors. What exactly is delaying the completion of the trial of Evans the kidnapper? Is the state aware that Evans can still plan kidnap operations from his cell? Did the police ever arrest all his associates?

You were too quick to reference what Jonathan tried to do in 2014 but forgetful to remember the things Tinubu said against him over insecurity, and rather than say the truth to shame evil, you are trying to sound smart by shifting the goal post to the governors who wield no serious security power of their states. A failure is a failure and should own up to his cluelessness.

See let me tell you the truth. Tinubu will win this election. Me myself I don't like Tinubu I dislike him because he is too old to rule and he is coming from APC too. I even want Peter obi to win. The truth is that the coming of Peter obi only affect PDP not APC because it is PDP votes that Obi will divide. Therefore reducing the chance of PDP winning and giving more chance to APC. I stay in North. We have 2months to election campaign but grassroots in the North are yet to know Peter obi. My village that we are up to 200k ask people there who is Peter obi they don't know..

Even if you feel that either Atiku or Tinubu can win, just do your part by campaigning and voting for PO. By that, you would have satisfied your conscience.

God forbid Tinubu or Atiku should win because if any of the two wins, they will constitute their cabinet with the same people in their parties who have milked this country dry, yet have nothing good to show for it.

Truth is some of you comparing Lagos with Anambra obviously don't even know that the former was once a crown colony. If someone hadn't been keeping the political offices in Lagos to himself and family circle, her resources is enough to make Lagos look like Texas, Pretoria, etc and not Anambra of yesterday in 1991. Has any of you asked why his wife has become the permanent senator of her constituency, every year going back to the Senate as if she's the only qualified woman for the office. Obi will never share state political powers to his family or cronies like that and that's how other families too can benefit from the state. Free yourself from nepotism. It's about half year dividends, mostly called interim Dividend that some banks and companies used to pay.
These banks and companies pay dividends twice a year.
So, the calculations you saw there were done in expectation of this year's interim Dividends using the interim amount paid last year as yardstick........this was to be used in positioning for this year's dividends, and more importantly, to know which one will give the best value among the four banks considered, for half year 2022.......all things being equal.
