Basically, in all World Cups since 1931, a European team has either been the winner or the runner-up. An average World Cup group will also not have the Netherlands, France, and Austria in the same group or have Spain, Croatia, and Italy in the same group.

Apart from Brazil and Argentina, no team consistently beats European teams. Of all the remaining five continents, only Brazil and Argentina can consistently beat an average European team.

I think people are trying to force a narrative they're not privy to. The journalists really can't say if the managers rejected United or if it was the other way around but Bin Laden apologists want to score a point where one doesn't exist by claiming the club didn't consider the other managers they interviewed as being better than EBL when in all honesty, there's nothing that points to it...

If you even try to draw inferences from how things have been in and around the club, it is more plausible to believe that the coaches the club spoke to didn't find the project interesting enough and chosed not to sign with the club.

Any top coach that joins United now, will likely demand for a huge transfer warchest to sign players who can help him win immediately else his stock would depreciate whilst at United...

Who said United rejected those managers? The article I posted from the athletic doesnt suggest Anyone rejected anyone. It only suggests they couldnt come to an agreement.

FACT IS. They were almost certain about keeping Ten Hag after that final but did their due diligence by interviewing other candidates. Which is what we've been shouting for all these years. People that'll calmly make decisions after exploring every option.

INEOS came in with a clean slate and interviewed candidates for their new project, ETH included. He just had insider privilege is all. At the end of the day, non of the other candidates impressed them enough to warrant replacing ETH. They just rehired ETH.
