Christmas day saw a clash erupt between the Indigenes of Bwari Area Council, FCT and the Hausa Fulani people living in the area.

The Clashed is rumoured to have been caused by a political tussle for power, which has led to loss of lives and properties, worth millions of naira. A curfew has been imposed on the residents from 6am - 6pm.

At the Akowonjo area of Lagos State on Tuesday one of such fires almost took the life of a one month baby as fire razed a building on Adesina Street, but for the timely intervention of residents the tragedy was averted.

It was gathered that the mother of the baby - a would be tailor - was sewing in a shop front of their apartment when the fire started as early as 10am.
