At the Akowonjo area of Lagos State on Tuesday one of such fires almost took the life of a one month baby as fire razed a building on Adesina Street, but for the timely intervention of residents the tragedy was averted.

It was gathered that the mother of the baby - a would be tailor - was sewing in a shop front of their apartment when the fire started as early as 10am.
