Influencer Tomike Adeoye exposes scammers trying to trick her with fake contract story

Content creator and influencer Tomike Adeoye has shared a video exposing scammers who tried to deceive her with a fake government contract.

In the conversation, which was mostly in Yoruba, the scammer pretended to be someone she knew from her NYSC service year — a claim she simply played along with.

He went on to ask what she was doing and if she had a job, before introducing himself as someone working with LAWMA. He then claimed there was a sanitizer supply deal with “57 local governments in Lagos.”

The scammer tried to convince her that she could make huge profit margins if she joined in. But Tomike, already seeing through the act, kept playing along while muting at intervals to laugh.

When the scammer realised she wasn’t taking him seriously and wasn’t falling for it, he quickly ended the call.

Lady breaks silence after man drags her to court for collecting tfare and not showing up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RxA329TK_U

Nigerian lady has finally spoken out after a trending courtroom video showed her being sued by a man named Emmanuel, who accused her of breaching a promise after sending her transport fare.

In her side of the story, the lady explained that Emmanuel was someone she only met online and had never seen in person. According to her, Emmanuel insisted she travel from Asaba to Abuja to meet him, despite her refusal.

She said:

"Before Emmanuel sent that money to me for transportation, I told him he should come over to my city. He said no, that he cannot visit a woman. Out of the blue, this guy just sent me ₦50,000, saying it was transport fare to come and see him. Where will ₦50,000 take me from Asaba to Abuja?"

The lady revealed that after she didn’t travel, Emmanuel and his friends allegedly began threatening her over the money. She claimed she later offered to refund it, but Emmanuel refused and instead got angry.

"What if I had gone there and something happened to me? You people would still blame me. Women don’t insist on staying in one place, you people will still talk. What do you really want?" she asked in frustration.

She went on to allege that she eventually refunded him ₦450,000, not just the ₦50,000 being circulated online. She also accused some people of secretly recording her despite a court order against filming the case.

Youths publicly flog police officer and two others over drug use in Rivers community

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJhB0-fg9Bc

Youths in Nkpolu community, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, have publicly flogged a serving police officer in the state and two other men for alleged use of hard drugs.

It was gathered that the youth leadership launched a campaign of ‘No to Drug Abuse’ following the increasing rate of drug use in the community.

It was further learnt that most members of the community have lost their homes and valuable possessions due to drug use.

According to reports, the youths stormed a drug hideout and arrested the three individuals, including the police officer.

In a video sighted online, the officer identified himself as Joshua Eyong, serving in Obio/Akpor Local Council division.

Eyong, who showed his service Identity Card to the youths, did not dispute the claims made by the youths who apprehended them.

Speaking, the Youth President of Nkpolu community, Owhonda Chamberlain, said the three individuals were arrested in line with their resolve to end drug abuse in their community.

Chamberlain regretted that most of the youths of their area have lost their homes to drug use, adding that drugs are hurting their youths, hence the move for an end.

“There is a campaign going on in our community headed by the youths of Nkpolu, following the powers given to me as the youth president to ensure that there are no drugs in our community,” he said.

“We discovered that some of our children do not have homes. We found that the property that their parents struggled with is being sold for drugs. What they do is that after taking drugs worth N3,000,000, they sell their house for N4,000,000.

“The drug dealer will now give them N1,000,000. Nkpolu has decided that there will be no drug dealer, no drug smoker in our community again. If you want to take drugs, go to Rumuaghorlu, go to hotels. It should not be something that should be done here.”

Acidosis:
You can feel the pain in his voice. This man has spoken nothing but the truth. School owners act as if they're out of touch with the realities of everyday Nigerians. Take my niece’s school, for example, how can you tell kids to make a different hairstyle every week? What’s wrong with keeping their hair short or simply using packing gel?

For an ordinary graduation, one girl’s parent here was told to buy three different outfits. Until this Gen Z era, I never knew schools held graduation parties for pre-nursery and nursery school students. I still blame the parents because many enjoy the competitive show-off and all that. Some don’t even realise when they're being exploited anymore.

Some of these students will carry this competitive and exploitative mentality into adulthood, setting themselves up for problems later in life. The child's school in context, for example, has already given the child a false reality about akara and pap. If not for this false reality we have created for ourselves, I don't see why anyone will prefer any kind of breakfast over akara and pap.
