Let me deviate a little, my pastors are the best in the world, they always want to know how and what moves I want to take, if am ill they get drugs and pray with me, they teach me how to read my books and pray to God to give me retentive memory, they ask of my business idea and help in financing it. Please if yours is the other way round then you need to do a check and desist from them. I can't tolerate a Pastor or a Prophet that always prays for a divine miracle, if you need a wife they will say brother kneel down let's pray ohhhh, my father my maker I lift my bla bla bla... This won't work here, my Pastors will ask questions like, are you ready to be settled? Have you desisted from this and that? What's your money making plans? How about getting a house first? your education, how about that?. These question will help the young man to adjust and know there is more to marriage than having children. Today history repeated itself again as the bride was rolled from Federal Medical Centre Lokoja in her wheelchair, you could see smiles on the faces of other patients in the ward their hope came alive and they were filled with joy. The year 2018 will not have any different meaning even if you choose to see it differently, it contains Monday to Sunday like other years even January to December. it will be a waste of time and a total dilemma if you feel you can leave 2017 and just focus on 2018 without ending what you started in 2017. Don't get me wrong, starting something new in 2018 is another great idea but you must check and balance what you started in 2017, imagine yourself starting a business in 2017 and not started making a profit but decided to start another one in 2018 without having anything to show for the one you started in 2017. SOAR! Glory to Jesus! It is such a great privilege to see the New Year. I congratulate every one of you that God has given this privilege and I pray for an altogether exceptional year full of grace, fulfillment of dreams and all round answered prayers. I mentioned in my last post for 2017 that the requirement for greater days, more achievements greater strides is LIFE, and that is what God has blessed you with. This is a pointer that by God’s grace, you would be a thousand time better and amount to all God wants you to be this year and beyond. Revelation 21:5 “And he that sat upon the throne said, behold, I will make all things new.” What a joy to have a new beginning altogether. A new beginning with new graces, new opportunities, new privileges and the likes. One very profound thing you must do to enjoy this newness God has made plain before you is to have a total change of mindset. Scripture teaches that you cannot put a new wine in an old wineskin. The new wine is the fact that God has made all things new and the old wineskin is your mindset or mentality of 2017. There must be a total agreement between your mentality and the newness God has granted you, if you must enjoy the benefits and goodness embedded in the year. Furthermore, the old wineskin could be your perspective to life, your character, a habit, a disposition, your association and a lot more that you know about yourself that could contribute to your undoing this year. If things must get better for you and if the year must yield her increase to you, it is absolutely beyond just wishing or longing, it has everything to do with taking actions. You must sit back and take stock of your activities of the previous year, your actions and inactions, then deliberately re-strategise and take viable steps in the direction you failed, fashion out how better to do it and win this year. Agric To Generate 15% Of Kogi Income In 2018 – Gov. Bello Jan 03, 2018. Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Monday said the state agricultural sector, through its Agricultural Revolution Programme (ARP), would generate about 15 percent of the state internally generated income in 2018. “Kogi is working hard to upstage its internally generated revenue from its exploits in agriculture to generate at least 15% of its income from the sector by the close of 2018,” Bello said. Bello, who disclosed this in s state-wide broadcast to mark the New Year in Okene, said the state had made tremendous progress in agriculture as alternative income generation and employment for the teeming population. He said the first harvest from the state experimental rice farm at Omi Dam was a huge success, against the backdrop that it was an initial effort. “The first batch of Confluence Rice hit the market in December 2017. “This is a source of income we hope to nurture from domestic sales, and if there is a surplus, distribution to other parts of the country and even overseas export will be done,” he said. The governor said that the rice renaissance in the state was traceable to the Agricultural Revolution Programme (ARP) launched early in 2017 and on which the government had been working. Bello said Cashew, cassava, sugarcane and sesame seeds were other crops the government was planning big-time production. “We have made advanced progress with possible investors to cultivate these on an industrial scale in 2018. “By the end of the year, we should be able to attribute at least 15 percent of our income to earnings from the agricultural sector”, he said. He added that the New Direction Blueprint of the government was programmed to start earning income for the state from direct investments in solid minerals. “We have not neglected the potentials of this rich source of Internally Generated Revenue. “Our state-owned solid minerals production company has been undergoing revitalisation to give it a corporate structure which is more responsive to the current realities.” The governor stated that the company should be ready to handle transactions from early this year. He noted that the government also created a programme for social welfare to touch many citizens at the grassroots level. “While this may not have reached every person and every household, I am aware that it has reached every ward. This direct distribution of foodstuff, particular rice, has put food on tables which would have otherwise be empty, especially during festive seasons.” he said. KGSG to rebuild abandoned Igala Hall in Anyigba Kogi State government has pledged its commitment towards the reconstruction of the abandoned Igala Hall in Anyigba to enhance efforts towards the cultural identity of the people of Eastern Senatorial District of the State. The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja recently made the promise during the inauguration ceremony for the new members of the executive of the Igala Cultural and Development Association held in Anyigba. Hon Onoja, who was represented at the occasion by the newly elected provost, Simon Ujah, praised the body for their unalloyed commitment towards the preservation of the Igala Culture and transmission to the younger generation. He said the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is committed towards encouraging the people of the state towards expressing their cultural identity and harmonious relationship within and among them. The efforts towards rebuilding project which Hon Onoja promised was going to be borne by himself, appointees and support by the state government, was geared towards providing a befitting edifice for the body.
