A straight line has been defined as the shortest distance between two points. And if we have the mental elasticity to stretch that definition a little longer, we can rightfully assert that the shortest possible distance between two points is the straightest line, and so the shortest cut. Accordingly, in the context of time as the tool of measurement, the shortest possible time of reaching a destination is the shortest distance, and the true straight line.

This extension of the definition is necessary because life is a road that does not always follow a visible straight course, and sometimes it may be more fortunate to follow a longer route and avoid dangers that would have caused more chaos, cost more in delays or imperilled the mission altogether, had one followed the visually closer route with invisible and/or impossible conditions of passage.

Here I am not interested in the rigours to the line of my journey due to necessary diversions or unfortunate events, but in accomplishing the task, so my rope of measurement is not the length of the road, but the hope of reaching the destination in this lifetime. For when the mission is accomplished, the elasticity of time will stretch the rigours into a straight line that extends to the peak.

Shortcut can be defined as a route more direct than the one ordinarily taken. But we must not look at its directness in terms of visible length, but in terms of possible time, if we understand that a shorter physical distance may be a death trap. Therefore, a straight line is not that which currently appears so upright, but that which will eventually be alright. It is more the case that humanity needs to be saved from religious fallacies like this, which are chains in human brains that hinder research into areas that disprove religious claims. We know how people like Galileo suffered for discoveries that were against biblical claims.

The suppression of scientific research has become more subtle, but more obvious when the best brains become pastors or locked within the expectations of their faith for a saviour. First of all Jesus wasn't referring to those present before him when he said:

"Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away." Matthew 24:34-35

The language he used is what made it a difficult task for most translators to convey the message as he meant.
Jesus meant that the generation that witnessed all what he said in verses 7-13 will sure see the end. Matthew 24:14

And regarding the events recorded @ Matthew 27:52-53 it didn't happen that day but a vision of what will happen in the future due to the ransom sacrifice Jesus used his human life to offer (pay) that day!

It is normal for christian apologetics to always change the narrative when a prophecy fails, creating the dubiousness of making every generation feel the rapture is imminent in their time, and reinforcing the mental slavery of its expectation.

I am sure that the false claim of Jesus that the kingdom of heaven was at hand would also find a literal twist of narrative, just like the resurrected zombies have become visions, and not actual events as that passage narrated.

If it is true for the individual, then the multiplier effect of the progressive thoughts of several liberated minds flowing into the ocean of human consciousness is beyond imagination.

Accordingly, the indoctrination of religious fallacy, no matter the facade of appearing harmless, is not charmless. The subtlety of deceit is intended to distract the human brain with the aimless, and render humanity intellectually armless!

My view is that every religious claim should be subjected to unbiased scrutiny. Because a religion has mass appeal does not make the beliefs right, which poses the greater danger of using subtlety to damage the human capacity for critical thinking.

I consider religious indoctrination as one of the worst forms of child abuse, which disarms children of the right of consent through the enslavement of their impressionable minds to idolize the God of their religion, and blinds them to see the truth in any contrary observation.

Religious dogma creates no-go areas of research in order to keep humanity in chain, especially so when the brightest minds become stifled with the pursuit of illusive heavenly gain. We may soon find out that religion is a tool of alien colonization of the human brain.

For the earnest expectation of all angels, principalities and ruling powers of this creation is eagerly awaiting the manifestation of the Anointed One for the incarnation of God from amongst the sons of men.

For this creature, who will be known as God the Son, will be subjected to a life of frustration, not because of the choices He made, but because God the Father willed it to be so, in order to use the persecution of satanic agents as part of His training (2nd Corinthians 12: 7).

In hope that someday, the Anointed One will also deliver the whole creation from the bondage of Satan's corrupt regency, through the glorious liberty that will accompany His ascension to the eternal throne of God, enabling all mankind to enjoy the infinite riches of grace befitting our status as citizens of the race of Christ, which makes us unique in the universe as direct siblings of God the Son and first class sons of God!
