A gang of inner city, punk-ass, kids vs. aliens: not only is it an original idea but the film is a complete and total success! I haven't had this much fun with an alien film in a long time. Joe Cornish makes his directing depute and he scores with flying colors: he has a great sense for movie making and it shows through this film. Perhaps the best feature of this film, for me, are the creatures; they are very original and give the film a true sense of horror and terror ^^ . The young actors perform greatly and give the film its authenticity of taking place in a British housing project. If you like Sci-Fi films, I would highly recommend this film. Vieira: |
Likewise me darling. . . i have been scam several times but not now again ^^ MsDarkSkin: |
Spot on my dear. . . . i really hope if the poster is reading this one and other useful contribution on this thread she'll get her perfect answer to the reason of starting this . pato405: |
I know You'll change your speech -- honestly , let remove joke Jet li will beat the heck out of Jackie in any combat dyabman: |
Yeah just to suffer his opponent he does all type of funny things even some kind of impression on his face to set confusion during fight lol --- Rumble in the Bronx is a rather typical Jackie film from the point of view that it features intense fight-scenes and equally intense comedy scenes. While the film works on a level of a "Hong Kong Action Comedy" it doesn't work quite well on all levels of production. The neo-American feel of the film isn't completely wasted but does feel a little artificial from time to time. The intensity of the film is definitely at its best in the first two thirds but these unfortunately lead to a rather miss-mashed third act which just feels shoddy and over-the-top. However to say the film is a complete waste would be too harsh. It is definitely recommendable to Jackie fans but far from his greatest works. dyabman: |

https://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m360/Ogaga4Luv007/Movie%20Posters/PrincessMononoke1997.jpg Princess Mononoke One of those movies you don't see every day, month or year^^ . The story is simple, modest and at the same time, groundbreaking and epic for its mix of reality and fantasy (actually the premise is very similar to Nausicaa's). The characters are also very simple. However you can't help but sympathize with them, even with the antagonists, each one of them is unique, well developed and with its own fundamented and reasonable goal . The visuals are simply stunning, I will go and say: the best the 90's anime have seen. This movie will entertain you and make you think, there's a lot more to it than gods, demons, ecological messages, smooth and violent action sequences or beautiful emotional scenes. Watch how every character's action in this story can affect everyone and everything around them. |
In the final fight with his brother, right after Brendan starts to fight back, Tommy hits the fence and looks around him ^^ The song starts playing . There are tears running down his face. He looks out to the crowd and warily goes "Dad?", like he's expecting someone in his corner cheering him on like he always had been. Just like someone said, he wanted someone cheering him on despite how much he pummeled his dad. I think it's obvious in the hotel scene that he DOES love his father despite their differences and past. ![]() I do believe Paddy left the tournament not because he was hungover but because the Military Police was there, I'm sure he didn't want to be seen with Tommy when he goes down. (Considering Paddy was a Marine and for a Marine to go AWOL is bad news) ![]() Yeah actors that do muscle exercise always know how to pump it high and reduce it . . . lol MRbrownJAY: |
It just goes to show how wrong you can be Obinna5000 of Nairaland dear friend ^^ . I had not expected to like this film. I was disappointed by both the Kill Bill films (although i preferred the second) and Death Proof (although it was better in the shorter cut of the double-bill release). I love Reservoir Dogs, admire Pulp Fiction and think that Jackie Brown is Tarantino's most mature piece of film-making - technically his most superior - including the last great performance elicited from Robert De Niro . Since then it seems to me while his films have been okay (i haven't hated them) he has been treading water in referential, reverential, self-indulgent juvenilia. obinna5000: |
Thanks vescuc ! -- Let's give him this due this year , last years or something i won the best movie poster now i think i dunno deserve it like Obinna5000 my dear . |
