zicky:Ndidi? LMFAOOO abeg! |
The implosion of Man city is comical, what has really.gonr wrong? Seems Pep Guardiola has finally been demystified. |
owobokiri:ESN has tried to largely stem the rampaging tide of the killings in the SE...even against all the odds stacked against them including having to fend off the actual Nigerian military who seem to covertly back this herdmen animals...when the power-players and individuals who seemed hell-bent on instigating insecurity in the East saw that ESN was becoming too successful, they got uncomfortable and sponsored "unknown gunmen" criminals to hijack the resistance and cause mass implosion of violence across the SE (Simon Ekpa was clearly a pawn in their game of chess). Now that he has served his purpose, they now want to get rid of him. But I hope Ekpa talks and names those sponsoring him before he goes down. |
LegendHero:Fockk off with your fake sympathy, you Yorubas under APC along with your Northern Muslim masters have completely destroyed this country with gross incompetence, we are now seeing war time numbers and death tolls of natives getting killed by herdmen militia in real time. The recompense of karma will soon catch up with you loathsome scums who have chosen to play politics of convenience than buckle up to the responsibilities and demands of governance. We need to split this useless country and 2025 should be a defining year for the question of sustaining the unity of Nigeria, we can't continue like this anymore. |
Christistruth02:Now you've shifted goal post from Yorubas are denied accommodation in the SE to how many political positions they've occupied in the SE, I wonder what the next agenda will be?...e remain small before you go enter market naked |
Yoruba logic: SE is 5 plots of land and uninhabitable, I'll never go to the SE, Ipob region etc.. Same Yoruba logic: Igbos don't sell lands to outsiders, Igbos are this Igbos are that... Which one are we going to follow now? You see how foolish you look when you try so hard to push lies and propaganda, you end up contradicting yourselves. All of a sudden Yorubas on X are cooking up anecdotes of how they were denied land in the SE, I thought the SE was 5 plots of land and underdeveloped according to ronu miscreants? |
adicius:Lol you're really very stupid, how are Igbos slaves to the North? Because of a cowardly hit and run fulani attack on unsuspecting old farmers in a isolated border community? It will be very comical and disingenuous if you're Yoruba and dating to call another tribe slaves when we know it's your historical trademark from ilorin getting annexed to Nupes conquering Oyo etc |
The SE has dominated the stats for a long time that it was becoming status quo, make we take small break for others to shine. Th slight drop of the SE is the effect of the sit at home and other insecurities caused by that bastard in Finland and his terrorist minions...it's even impressive the SE is in third place (all things considered). But slowly and surely I'm glad the recompense of their destructive deeds is now catching up with them, starting from Ekpa who has been nabbed like the common criminal and terrorist that he is. Note that there are millions of Igbos doing well academically in the SW (especially Lagos etc) and the South South where there are ethnically Igbo speaking areas (whether they choose to identify ad Igbos or not). |
Flangelo12:Guy you're hungry, go chop first. |
Flangelo12:You really want to compare the ritual killings in the SE to the SW, we can go stats for stats if you're game? Ogun State alone is the official HQ of organ harvesting and skull mining in Nigeria. Once again, is it only the SE experiencing insecurity in Nigeria? why are you so concerned about the SE? is this emergency love abi wetin? |
Flangelo12:Ritual killings happens in the SW till date Cult killings happen in the parts of the South South till date Bandits and terrorists are running amok in the North till date So why are you morons so fixated on the insecurities in the SE? Are Igbo lives more precious than other tribes? |
Flangelo12:What has this rubbish got to do with the misinformation of this thread? Are we now recycling old reports cause every region has its own bad news from the past. |
Video from 3 years ago, una no dey tire for this stale propaganda? |
Owngoalnigeria have started their usual reports about foreign coaches lining up for the SE job, we will be seeing the same rigmarole of NFF paid articles from different sites about them searching for a coach when we all know they will end up claiming no foreign coach wanted the job and re-assign Eguavoen as interim for the WCQs. |
All the national teams that seem to be doing very well in African football all have foreign coaches, see small Comoros of yesterday already dominating like no man's business Meanwhile we are here arguing whether an interim manager should be permanently hired or not few months to a crucial world cup qualification fixture in which we're even struggling. Nigeria is a fuckingg embarrassment of a nation, utter mess in all spheres. All big name players with nothing to show for it. Tufiakwa. |
AndSunGorilla:Angola will bring down the sky before they let go of their coach, especially when they are in such good form right now. |
AndSunGorilla:Amuneke is already proving himself in the NPFL with a Heartland fc team that has been in relegation and was never considered good enough to play in the league. Amunike came in and transformed the team with new signings and after a patchy start now has Heartland playing good football and winning games. If we have to settle for a local coach, I'll rather we go with Amunike and Siasia...these two guys are proven and know how to pick a good team. Eguavoen is an old guard and is best suited only for interim stop-gap gigs. If we have to go foreign, then the Niger republic coach won't be bad consideration. |
Danielnino00:I've always stood on the business of rebuilding our senior national team with mostly promising cadet players because at least the youth have enough time to learn even while they make mistakes...we've had the Ndidi and Iwobi era for the longest time since 2017 under different coaches and they've largely underachieved...under this set of players we are about to make history by not qualifying to 2 world cups back to back, no other generation of Eagles players were this bad. It's time for us to start telling ourselves the truth, majority of these guys are just club champions at best, only Osimhen, Ekong, Iwobi and Simon Moses play for the badge. Go watch our older games when we had Taiwo, Osaze, Mikel Obi, Enyeama etc and see how passionately those guys played in national colors...now we have mostly ajebutter boys and social media banger boys. |
ChrisKels:No wahala I'll go back to my Facebook. I hope your world class Boniface, Iheanacho and others qualify you to the world cup! |
EEGA:Victor Olatunji, Kparobo Ariehi, Ehibizue, Vince Osuji, Nwaiwu, Torunarigha, Uduokhai etc are all doing well...they should be called up. |
Kog45:That's why I said he needs serious competition, he plays decently at Fulham but he just lacks the fundamentals that can make him a world class player, way too erratic and brawny than brainy- only good thing working for him is that he's still young and has lots of time to get better. |
GMBOFASIA:The blunt truth and obvious elephant in the room everybody is afraid to admit...the Osaze/Enyeama/Mikel Obi generation had it worse than this present over-pampared bunch in terms of messy coaching and administration yet they ALWAYS delivered when it mattered. The players we have now are mostly twitter banger boys who fraternize with the so called social media inflencers for media validation and hype. Only Lookman is the media classy player who goes about his business with professionalism and world class consistency on the pitch. I'm all for us overhauling over 70% of these players and starting afresh with new and younger players who have never gotten a real chance, there are lots of them doing well in Europe and in our local leagues. I would rather we try again with new players preferably from our youth teams and give them enough time to make mistakes as they grow, we might miss out on 1 or 2 tournaments due to inexperience but the tough times are worth it for the greater good. |
Danielnino00:Lol Majority of the current players we have are almost in their 30's and may not smell a world cup tournament ...does that sound like an achievement to you? Oh, you're probably one of those myopic ones who think playing for a supposed top club in Europe is the perfect barometer to gauge the international quality of a player. Bros, none of this current generation of players with the exception of Osimhen, Lookman and Nwabali are GOOD enough! even a prime Pep Guardiola can't save this bunch. E go do you like film trick when Nigeria fails to qualify for the next consecutive world cups and Osimhen, Iwobi, Lookman etc all enter their late 30's with no world cup, and with the quality of African football becoming more competitive, there's no gainsaying the likes of Sao Tome will soon start beating us. I can gather a bunch of well motivated U20 players that will beat or at least won't struggle against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and other lowly ranked teams. The joke is on you. |
The former Senegalese coach Aliou Cisse is still available, why can't NFF be serious and go for him? Either that or they come out clear and announce Eguavoen as substantive coach before the end of November! |
I can swear that Our U20 boys can do a better job than the overhyped media-pampered players we paraded today Except for sure starters like Osimhen, Ademola, Aina, Bruno, Chukwueze and impact sub players like Simon Moses and Iwobi..why don't we just take a leap of faith and rebuild with our academy youth players from beyond limit and Sporting Lagos? some of our best young talents have come from these academies and have produced players like K Kparobo Ariehi, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro etc. The Iwobi/Ekong/Ndidi era have outlasted most previous generation of players yet have largely flattered to deceive under different coaches...I doubt even Pep Guardiola can make any difference with these guys. Let's keep only 40% of this squad and fill up the deficits with new players from our U20 team and Beyond limits academy. Keep only: Osimhen Ademola Chukwueze Moses Simon (impact sub) Aina Iwobi Onyedika Bruno Onyemaechi Nwabali And maybe Bassey (who needs serious competition cause his place isn't safe right now). Ekong has served us well but he has probably just one more tournament left in him before he honorably retires, then the likes of Ndidi, Iheanacho,.Osayi etc need to be phased out as they are just deadweights and squad fillers than quality options. We need a complete rebuild in defence, midfield and attack and we have quality young talents brewing in our successful academies in Beyond limits and Sporting Lagos right now, a quality scouting program should integrate and easily transition this new players into the Super Eagles having passed the eye test of our youth football before making those transitions. It's ok if we miss out on future tournaments. But we need to have capable replacements for Osimhen and Lookman etc ready before the next world cup in 8 years time (cause we won't qualify for this one next year, no point wasting our time). Osimhen, Iwobi, Lookman, Aina and the core of our current best players will soon hit 30 soon and will probably retire sooner than we think in a few years time. We have new generations of players emerging in Arierhi, Clinton Japhta of Enyimba, Akinsanmiro, Ojediran, Obasi Onyebuchi, Izunna, Daniel Daga etc...time to start preparing these boys for the future. |
lexyman:You guys will never learn |
I miss the Enyeama/Osaze/Mikel Obi era... those guys were constantly barraged and short-changed by the worst NFF admins probably in our history; yet they ALWAYS played with sheer passion/guts and delivered when it mattered. We don't have warriors anymore, we just have X banger boys. |
Thank God Eguaveon is interim, I won't insult the guy cause he stepped up when called upon but bros...abeg just quietly return to your desk job. It's time for NFF to cut out the bullshit and finally announce a SERIOUS coach, I don't care if the coach is from Pluto or Mars, just get us a fuckingg coach! And I'm afraid, but our world cup dream is now officially a pipe dream even in the remotest sense. These set of players are just too poor and can't be relied upon to deliver when the expectations are high. It's time to accept Boniface isn't good enough for international football, funny guy and all but he should focus on his club career. Iheanacho officially should be phased out for good. Some players have played themselves out of national team football. It's time to give the likes of Chuba Akpom, Arokodare, Ojediran, Akinsanmiro, Kingsley Ehibizue etc a chance |
AndSunGorilla:Southy are very well coached, our best chance against them is to just counter attack and defend in numbers...Osimhen,Lookman and Moses Simon will have to on their A game. New players like Ojediran (Lens fc), Arokodare, Chuba Akpom and any decent available defenders we can scout will have to be called up as well. |
Kog45:Yeah Maduka should have started in goal, except Nwabali needed the game to burn off some pain by giving AE a thumbs up to start...he did well considering the circumstances. |
Kog45:Those midfield trio should start against Rwanda in a midfield 3, enough of the 2 man midfield especially with flat-footers like Ndidi and Iwobi who are at best sub players at this point. The Rwandan game pretty much a dead rubber game so we need to give Bashiru-Onyedika-Onyeka a chance to build some chemistry. |
Stanley Nwabali lost his dad a few hours before the match against Benin republic, he literally played through bereavement! My respect for Stanley just went up a thousand more times. RIP to his dad 🕊 https://x.com/AJSilverCFC/status/1857299466421674275 |
