Is there anyone in France who can help me collect a package from UPS and forward to CROUS via local mail? UPS has held my package for over a week in France, saying they can make delivery to the CROUS office address. This is an exigency if I'm to meet up with September's resumption date.

My Whatsapp contact is on my signature, save a soul.
Send me a mail

I thought French students Visa takes 15 working days. from my observation here they attend faster to Erasmus scholars. please anyone in the house that has gotten visa recently that is not Erasmus scholar. how long did it take?
It's not peculiar to Erasmus. People get visa in 7days. It depends on what you submit and what confirmation they need to make. For me it took 3weeks, more than 15days because they had to call me n my company almost 3times

[quote author=whitetiger511 post=58304623]yes I did too, don't think its compulsory.

but if you can secure accommodation before you come, that will help you settle in easier, you don't want to combine classes, plus homesickness, language barrier and homelessness. [/quote

So you said it all. Please I would love to have a private chat with you. Just friendly chat

Hello everybody! I am new on the forum. I just received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study in France (1st year) then Netherlands or Germany (2nd year) .
I have a couple of questions:
1. How fast is VFS Abuja?
2. Kindly post a direct link to how I can reserve airline tickets . God bless!
Go to Lagos.
Use Turkish airline website to make a reservation which is free and last up to one week. You just do the reservation the morning of your interview and if possible submit your documents to vfs same day

Took your advice, I'd apply through lagos. Please what kind of questions are asked during the interview and does it affect the visa decision/process?
Ask dose that did recently. It's a young guy Rabiu that will interview you. You are being recorded and it's sent to the embassy. For me they asked normal questions like tell me about yourself, your course of study, y such course, y France, and plans after the studies

Hello all,

Thank you for all the input in this thread, it has been really helpful. Please I have a couple of questions concerning the student visa documents

1. I finally got my accommodation attestation after over a month of headache but now the actual documents states my name, the address of the residence, monthly rent and the date of the beginning of my tenancy (aug 15 2017). it doesn't however state the duration of the course as the visa checklist states. Is this going to be a problem?
2. If I do my preliminary interview at the CampusFrance Abuja office, do I still have to go through VFS?
3. Is the proof of payment of course fees compulsory? My tuition is €256 and I checked the university's website and there is nowhere to pay fees.

Thank you in advance for all your help!!!
@whitetiger511 @ogatboy please help, thanks
@Whitetiger511 has answered already. Sorry for late response because I'm really busy. For the fees, it's mostly paid when you arrive in France except for those school where their fees are above 1000euro and installment payments are allowed. All the best.

Can I apply at vfs office in Abuja's for France tourist visa.I will like to go with my family to spend two weeks.
And please which one Is advisable in applying for visa that will be sure...Italy or France.
I think Italy visa is easier to get. Most people cross from Italy to France. I don't know if vfs Abuja accept applications for France but you can check out on their website

Pheeeeew!!! Finally I am on the right thread. As an intro, I'm a prospective PhD student (ESSEC Business Sch) while my sis is an Erasmus Mundus scholar (starting from Uni of Bordeaux) both starting September. Our studies would be fully funded (scholarships + stipends), while she'll be on €1000 a month stipend, my stipends are higher, with more perks (quite juicy).

After digesting the info on this thread (from page 1), one ambiguity still lingers; what is the average cost of living for an average student like either of us in communities around these schools (cergy, pontoise, Bordeaux) and even in broader France?

Especially, important to us is accommodation. While our schools have beautiful accommodation arrangements, they are quite expensive compared to what we would prefer to pay (its the first time a family member is travelling out in the last 24 years, everyone expects you to save). Thus, we are would like to know if an individual could get accommodation in either of Clergy, Pontoise or Bordeaux for <€300. Thus crous website is so arcane, it would not even translate to English even on chrome.

Hope I get answers from students and peeps living around these areas.

Thanks guys

cc: whitetiger511, justwise
The money is more than enough, I lived on less than 500 monthly although in CROUS accommodation. You can send a mail to CROUS in your school using Google translator although the period for taking requests ended 31st of May. People in Paris get grant of only 750 nthey survive. All the best

Chukdee thank you for your reply, At least am not invincible. See this why most people use agencies to process their visas . I am a novice and I have been following the thread from page one. I have never had the intention of travelling outside the country but as the economic situation is getting harder everyday. What I have been able to deduce from the thread most of the people applying are either working in good companies or have fat accounts. What do I know I am just a screen printer who has manage to survive and feed my family for six years now. So my brother I think a paid conference is a better option for me aside meeting the conference fees what other documents would I need anybody in the house should please kindly take out time to assist I believe in niraland community.
Advice will only be given based on what we know. I can only advice you if you intend coming to study. Asides that, I can't advise on what I'm not sure of. Going for a paid conference means you are in tune with the profession of the Congress. Good luck brother. You will survive and make it

Hello All,
I recently submitted my statement of account to embassy for visa, but unfortunately some issues came up and I have to withdraw money from the account. My problem now is that will the embassy know that the balance on the account is different from the balance on the statement ?. Will they actually call the bank to verify the balance ?
What u submitted was your balance at a particular date so just continue running your account normally
