NYSC / Oba Adedokun Abolarin (the Orangun Of Oke Ila Orangun) Host Serving Corps Member by ogunbiyimike: 6:39pm On Mar 22, 2018
His Royal Majesty Oba Adedokun Abolarin as part of his culture and passion to effect the Nigeria Youth, to believe and work towards a better Nigeria invited the serving Corps member in his terrain and sister-community (Ila Orangun) for a fest.

His Royal Majesty while addressing the corps member said "He so much believe in the future, but it's just quite unfortunate he won't be part of the future". Therefore enjoin the corps member not to be in a hurry in accumulating wealth and emphasis on the need to create a good network among themselves and use the good position they find one another tomorrow as a catalyst for a great Nigeria.

The Corps member expressed their sincere appreciation to the king for his fatherly role towards the scheme and also bringing corps members together in a period like this, reiterate the assurance that this will go down in the heart of everyone with all what they have witness today to be an instrument of change.

They also commend the passion and vision of the Monarch in building a modern structured and comfortable centre of knowledge for the less privilege which he has been running for the past three years without having to pay a dime as school fees nor feeding fees and a gift was presented to the students', who expressly appreciated the materials brought for them.


The king encourage the corps member to emulate a vision like this and also remember the ancient town of Ila Orangun and Oke Ila Orungun for good.

One of the aims of NYSC is Community Development service which is mandatory for every Corps member to actively participate to build a greater and rewarding country.

The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) CDS group of Ila Orangun Osun state took their sensitization programme to St. Julius Middle School II Ila Orangun, Osun State.

As part of the goals of the group was to promote good health and well being, the sensitization topic was on "Personal Hygiene". Mr Ogunbiyi Michael who is the president gave a brief history of sustainable development goals and encourage the student to be a good ambassador before he introduce the topic of the day, he therefore emphasis on the need to ensure we care and clean our body regularly to maintain a good health and social standard.

Mr Kuyoro Raphael enlightened the male student to ensure they looked clean by ensuring they maintain a low hair cut, bath regularly, brush their teeth daily, keep their cloth clean and drinking a lot of water. while

Miss Mohammed Zainab sensitized the female gender on the need to always keep their body clean to avoid body odour, also for those that are in puberty stage should ensure they bath twice during their menstrual period and change their menstrual materials anytime they feel the inconvenience, among others.


The session ended with a question and answer period which student that asked meaningful questions and those that gave a good response to the question asked was given gift materials such as: Socks, toothbrush, bathing soup, shaving stick, cotton swabs, menstrual pad, e. t. c.

The students' were excited and the school management commend the effort of the group and encourage the group to continue in their quest to promote the goals of SDGs.
