Crime / Re: Have You Ever Been Scammed Before??? Share Your Experience. by oildude(m): 9:50pm On Feb 15, 2016

Two times I can remember.

1st time - This happened in 95/96. I was on my way to my sixth form college but decided to go see my friend in the hood. He was an up and coming guy man and I wanted to see if he had any new 090 fire lines. I alighted from the bus and as I walked towards his house, I saw 2 chaps playing table tennis.

As I walked past the players, one of them called out to me; egbon shey ele ba wa count scores (can you help keep scores). I was in no hurry and enjoyed watching table tennis so I obliged.

The game carried on and one of them was so terrible it was embarrasing. Game ended something like park-2. The really rubbish player brought out a wad of cash and gave it to the chap who won. The winner was the same one that called out to me.

I made to leave but the winner called out to me and walked alongside with me. He told me (in yoruba) that the other chap was an ibo boy who had stolen thousands from his dad and was gambling it all away. He advised that I bet on a game with him and I was sure to double my money.

Even though I was a below average player, having seen how rubbish the ibo boy was, I didnt hesitate. We walked back to the tennis board. The yoruba boy suggested I give the ibo boy 15 ahead to entice him. I agreed cause the ibo boy was really rubbish. I laid allthe money I had on me. I think it was N50 but cant be sure. What I can remember was that it was just enough to take me to school and back.

I started the game with the 1st of my 5 serves. The previously rubbish ibo boy returnes it with a back handed smash, 0-16 shocked. I was shook but I thought to myself, ah a fluke return. 2nd service, same thing, 3rd service, fore hand smash from the ibo boy, 0-18.

cry My eyes turned red as It started to dawn on me that I had been scammed. I dropped my bat, turned to my fellow yoruba boy who I believed to be my ally and said I wasnt playing again. He shook his head and with respect he replied 'ah, egbon eti bet' (You cant go back on a bet after the game has started)

I picked up my bat and tried to salvage the situation with 2 iká services but the ibo boy was so good he won the points, 0-20 cantab! The boy then finished me off with 2 robó agbeti services.

I left the table in shame and walked to my friends house a short distance away. I knocked on the gate for minutes but there was no response. My day just became worse. I had no money and there was no way I could make it to school. Tears started to roll down my eyes as I began my 4km walk back home.
Guy na ur scam make me laff pass, with ur Ika service, cantab n robo agbeti, cant stop laffing

4 me I have a gud relationship in d house I stay wif my landlady whom his son dat owns d house live in london,We live like a family, cos I take kia of d mama like my own mother, gave her gift, load her prepaid meters, even fuel her generator wen we need it 2 run d borehole,Bt d basic of dis is dat d day i was packing into my own house d mama was crying, even d day I do prayer in my house she was dancing and praying 4 me.

Now am coming 2 my tenant, whom I hav already even given six month quite notice, wish will elapse by dis month end.I hav a lot of reason dis guy has 2 be given quit notice.

1.Dis guy decieve me b4 parking into my house by posing wif a gurlfrnd as a wife,as dat was my criteria for a tenant in my house(he was 4given,so accpted,bt documented)

2.We use prepaid meter, wen we ar recharging,I pay higher dan him, meanwhile he stays home mornin till evening All electronics n lights on,still do complain abt d money he pays 4 recharging d meter(maybe he want free light)

3.Always complain wen we need 2 take care of d compound, mostly wen we need 2 weed d compound,no matter d small money he has 2 contribute,he still complain, most times i do dis all on my own account even wen am not home,he doesnt felt concerned

4.Neva pays his rent complete, always payin in bashes,it was only d first rent wen he was coming in dat was paid in full,so subsequent payments ar in half

5.Den d worst dat got me infuriated was him going behind me 2 lie 2 my wife and tell her wat I ddnt say abt my wife only to nearly create a fight between me n my wife.

So can someone tells me hia why he should be given a booth out of my house, really sha no opinion counts coz already he is parking out of my house by month end.
All his paper well documented,so even going 2 d court is in my favor.
