CareerFollow Your Bliss by ojadetayo(op): 6:57am On Sep 25, 2015
This week on #AdetayoSpeaks

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS
Every one of us has got something that makes us bliss out. We all have a passion or interest that radiates paradise in us. It is that area of our life that exudes a beatific curiosity. We enjoy doing it. It makes us better, happier and overjoyed. Be aware that only if we follow that route are we guaranteed an effortless happy journey to the top. The heroic Joseph Campbell did say “follow your bliss, find where it is and don’t be afraid to follow it.” Following your bliss means doing the things your heart most desires as opposed to honoring the obligations and rules of others. It is the deep and pervasive sense of actively pursuing your passions and not settling for anything lesser. Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. The great Confucius said ‘choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life’. Take a step towards where your heart is. Take a note of where your heart rises up with joy and excitement. Realize that bliss is always within us, ready to bubble up. When we trust and follow the wisdom of the heart, doors will magically be carved out of the most impenetrable walls. Therefore, find your paradise, stay in it, follow your bliss. It will take you to the zenith of your dreams.

CareerRe: Making Mistakes by ojadetayo(op): 10:58am On Sep 10, 2015
Favolly:
So what if it's a major career mistake?

You are in this field and you just know that it isn't where your strength lies. But then, you've been in it for quite some time, and you're even earning a decent pay.

But you just know that this was a mistake from the start. Where do you even get the courage to stop and start over?
The main point of writing this is to never allow your mistakes to hold you down. Never allow your mistakes to hinder you from getting to the top. Even if it is a career mistake, the fact that you have realized your mistake is a good thing. You now have to stand up and pursue what makes you happy. It is true that starting over again is always difficult but it is better to start over at pursuing what makes you happy than to continue in something that will always make you cry. The time is never late to start again. I wish you the best in your journey to success.

There is no problem in making mistakes, at all. All of us make mistakes but the real problem is not learning from them. Matter of factly, all problems and mistakes are opportunities. We find balance by making mistakes; they give us experiences and the opportunities to improve our lives. They are parts of our growth and they teach us that next time we need to do things differently. Making mistakes doesn’t therefore make us useless, incapable or worthless. It actually makes us better than we were yesterday. Never therefore be afraid of making mistakes. In actual fact, you are allowed to make mistakes. When you have made a mistake, just get up better and keep going. What really affect our performances are our fears and doubts. We are all here to learn, nobody is perfect. Instead of focusing on the problems in the past, focus on the results you want. Be confident! Never ever hesitate. Mistakes are opportunities in disguise. They are a part of being human. Therefore go ahead, take chances, and make mistakes. Make all you can, make lots of it. Learn from them. It shows you are out there doing something and because that's where you will find your success - on the far side of unending efforts.

SHARE IT

Everyone has a story, everyone has a song. Everyone has a poem. Each one of us is blessed with a lyric. There is something distinct about everyone. It is like your personal signature, only you can sign your name that way. The best counterfeiters in the world cannot perfectly duplicate your signature exactly the way you would do. No one else can tell your story the way you’ll do. So, therefore tell it the best way. Share it to the largest crowd. Sing it with the loudest voice. Recite it with the best rhymes. You are the best poet of your poem, the best scriptwriter of your story, the best artist of your painting, the best choir of your song. Who you are, what you become is completely up to you. No one else will help you outside of yourself. There is something bravura about you, something grand, something worth listening to. Share it with the world. We are all earnestly waiting for your story.

PoliticsRe: #northerners Trends On Twitter As Nigerians React To Buhari's Appointments by ojadetayo(m): 5:49pm On Aug 28, 2015
Blizzle:
See me see trouble oo. Please let the man complete the appointments before we cry foul that it's skewed. Appointing the SGF, Chief of Staff (a personal appointment) Comptroller General of Customs & Immigration and a few personal aides are hardly a criteria for valid argument of northern favoritism or Nepotism.

PMB will name is full cabinet in a few weeks, if the federal character isn't reflected in that cabinet, then we can protest.
Appointing cabinet is a state by state selection. That one is a must, he has no option but to appoint from every state. the only place to balance the appointments is in this little little appointments.

The snail keeps moving regardless of what the society thinks of
it. It keeps moving at its pace without caring who the heck is
looking at it. The tortoise also never cares what other beasts
speak of it. It is just so concerned about its journey that it has no
time for hearsays. It must do so if at all it will get anywhere.
Anyone who will get anywhere in life must be deaf to the shouts.
Anyone who will get anywhere must be his best self. Forget about
the invectives of the crowd. Care enough to ignore their
vilifications and disparagements. You know what, just be
yourself. Move at your own pace, care less about what people
say. Walk at your own haste, and run at your own velocity, you
don’t have to run like Usain Bolt to get to your destination. NO! In
actual sense, you may not be able to run like him. You may only
hurt yourself if you try to do so. We are all running the same race
but we are not on the same plane. Some on the fields, some on
the rocks and maybe some on the hills, some will get there on
time and some will get there maybe later. The crux is just that
you make sure you get THERE.
