My parents are qualify for interview waiver but this new avista didn’t bring that options except calendar interview date. The current available date is for Jan 2026.

I see most people do also experienced this issue and I have seen post of selecting waiver in annotation might help. I am ready to pay another $180 for both of them if that will work but I’m scare it could lead to another issue.

Can you someone please explain in summary the solution to get this interview waiver letter? Also they are based in Ibadan, can they just take the current appointment letter of Jan 2026 to OIS in Ibadan and submit their documents? I’ve seen where people say you can still do the drop off if you don’t have IW letter.


Please help. Ive created ticket on thier site but keep insisting I wait for my date.

After making payment, the avits website will ask you a series of questions to determine if you qualify for IW. That's how I did mine.
However, there are only available IW dates in Abuja. LAgos isn't showing any as at the last time i checked today.

If you did not cancel your previous appointment and you try to start another one with the same account and for the same person. You'll get stuck there. Happened to me. To get past it, you'll have to cancel the previous appointment.

It did show successful and was debited, but i did not see confirmation page, just the debit alert in my account.

Sorry about that. Try calling both avits and your bank. The money has to be somewhere. In my experience with calling avits, they are usually not very helpful, but still try anyway. Your best option may be calling your bank to see if you can reverse the transaction.

Please, after payment and answering questions for the interview waiver I was told I was eligible and I selected yes to go ahead but the thing is, the calendar is greyed out and I can’t even see December 2024 or year 2025 even after selecting lagos. Also, the top of the calendar is saying consulate appointment. Is this right for Dropbox

My dashboard has also auto generated a POST appointment letter but all info is blank. I’m just so confused, I just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing.

Please any solutions?

Did you end up finding a solution? I am in the same boat. The calendar is greyed out for Lagos, however, there are dates in abuja for Jan 2025.

I need help please. I made payment using a foreign debit card and it shows successful and i was debited but however did not progress to date selection. Instead i was returned back to payment section again to make another payment.
What could be wrong please because i thought it was instant after card payment

When it showed successful, did you get a receipt /confirmation page?
If you did you can call avits or send an email to the embassy

IW dates in Abuja available for January 2025

Did you try using your original account to create a new appointment after canceling?
