RomanceRe: I Want To Open Football Viewing Center. Budget 500k by OJojossy10: 6:18pm On Jul 28, 2025
This assertions is not completely true in this part of the F.c.t. football matches are shown at the rate of 300 per person and second half is 200. On match days, the viewing centre can boost of about 60/70 persons on the average and some people even come there, pay for the ball and still watch it with their phone..
Though apps has taken alot of people off viewing centres, the business still thrives today, depending on your location.
Just calculate your expenses and try to see if you can get alternative source of energy...
Not everyone who visits a bar has the money to buy drinks and watch ball, plus the amount spent in a viewing center can only buy small bottle water in a bar....not every one would want to visit a bar and just drink water...

quote author=Nazgul post=132004136]
Viewing center era just like cyber Cafe era, has longed passed.

These days there are so many apps where you can easily stream live matches on your phone or laptop for free. (I even have one on my phone) So you won't be getting so much customers.

And when you add the current price of fuel, you'll be needing at least 7k (minus Nepa bill) every match day to keep your Gen running. Question is how much would you charge your customers? Cos anything above N200 would be considered as too expensive. And if you put your fee at N500, the place would be so scanty. Most people would wait out the first half and come in when the second half has started so that they can pay a more cheaper amount.

And I don't need to tell you that this would affect your business seriously thus making it impossible for you to raise your principal after one year. (that's if the business survives up to a year)

These days what people do is to set up a bar, buy DStv or GOtv and show all live matches. This way customers coming in would feel more comfortable. They can easily order for drinks, pepper soup, nkwobi... Etc whilst watching their favorite team in the comfortable bar.

If you can increase your principal to 1.5-2m I'll advise you to set up a bar/viewing centre . You'll definitely make more money from it than from a stand alone viewing center.[/quote]

So Multi choice is operating at a loss in Nigeria then? Because according to this your comment, they are "HELPING" Nigerians.
That means they are paying a fraction of the actual cost while Nigerians are paying the rest?
I may be blind to their help so far o... enlighten me pls
Kngg:
MultiChoice is literally helping Nigerians save money. They absorb insane sports rights fees so you can watch premium content at a fraction of PPV costs. The alternative? Spending triple on just a few matches.
TV/MoviesRe: Can Nigerians Afford Pay-Per-View TV? by OJojossy10: 3:24pm On Apr 29, 2025
If the services rendered by multi choice is not another branch of telecommunications sir, what then is telecommunications sir?

I may not have an idea because I was attending animal diversity class when they were teaching them telecommunications in the other lecture hall.
DammyAdeb16:
It's not that simple. TV is not telecommunications. They don't operate the same way
TV/MoviesRe: Can Nigerians Afford Pay-Per-View TV? by OJojossy10: 3:18pm On Apr 29, 2025
I think there is a problem with the whole analysis of the PPV Concept.
Are you telling me that PPv simply means paying additional fees just to open a particular channel that promises to cover a certain event, then after the event, the additional payments expire and the normal subscription continues, or making the whole package dependent on how the subscription was used?
Like we have with our network providers?
Imagine recharging your MTN sim with 1k right now and before 7 am tomorrow everything is gone regardless of it's usage? If they sell a bouquet for us, why not allow it to run the same way our airtime runs inside our sim? You think it can not be possible in Nigeria?

The Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Professor Tunji Olaopa asserts that restoring competency based Human Resource practice and merit system in the Federal Civil Service Commission civil will be meaningless if reforms does not embrace technology; saying that the Federal Civil Service Commission intends to use to maximum advantage the facilities of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to achieve this objective.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede said that the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) is one of the highly respected organization by the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board. As he praised Professor Tunji Olaopa’s profile and pedigree in the field of public administration as well as his private and public sector contributions; Professor Ishaq Oloyede stressed that the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board selects the type of organisation it works with, further stating that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) does not partner with organizations based on money but on the credibility and integrity of the organisation involve.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede said he was impressed with what Tunji Olaopa was doing at the Federal Civil Service Commission as he plans to innovate its operational activities within the international best practices.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede advised Tunji Olaopa the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to gradually digitize the Federal Civil Service Commission recruitment process first before embarking on other core mandates of the Federal Civil Service Commission for a seamless and hitch free transition.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede promised to technically assist the Federal Civil Service Commission in its reform, restructuring and re-engineering agenda. The courtesy visit ended with a question and answers session.
Thanks for this information, but there is too many ambiguous and unnecessary repetition of fcsc and the chairman's name.
It usually makes reading tiring! Thanks

Go for lugbe, at least we enjoy close to 19 hours of electricity daily here, and it takes less than 15 minutes to drive to the city center.i am staying at city gate and I use about 7 minutes to get to Wuse.... The only problem you might have is with rent, that amount you call budget may actually not get you a room here.

THELATTERMAN:
I'm planning to relocate to Abuja next month, that is January 2025, after completing my undergraduate study in one of the neighboring states. I'm confused about the best, most affordable place to stay.

My major needs are security, electricity, nearness to town, and affordable housing. I have been looking at Kubwa and Lugbe, but I would appreciate some input from Abuja residents here.

Note: I am on a budget. So, places like Asokoro, Utako, etc are out of it. Secondly, I'm a freelancer; hence my need for an area with a steady electricity supply.

So, where in Abuja would you suggest and why?

What this man should have done on the first day of office was to introduce the idea of CNG, then within 1 to 3 months, start agressive campaign on why people should switch to CNG, put aparatus in place to aid switching to CNG, and then gradually phase out subsidy.. if they had followed this steps, by now more than 80 percent of subsidy would have gone without the lay man knowing what subsidy is...
But because he grabbed the power forcefully, he is confused and doesn't know what to do with it. Now we are where we are..... If he was truly determined to work against him, he would have achieved it by just replacing INEC chairman with someone loyal to only him.

Buhari just tried to make the peoples vote count but APC governors fought and worked against it
But the inec chairman has no power to produce a candidate for a political party, he was not there when Tinubu emerged the candidate of APC, there was nothing he could have done from his office to influence the choice of the candidates that represented their various political parties...
He only had a say in the general election, and by the time it got to that point, Tinubu was already on top of the game.
