2cribz: The lifespan of a new car battery is only 2 years.anything putside 2 years, your battery starts to cry for change. Nigeria is too hot and this also affects battery lifespan...heat from car.heat from engine bay..hest from asphalt .over time it gets dried up and cant hold power. Get yourself a new battery.dont let rewire scatter anything 4u. Lastly abt 95% of the car batt sold in naija are super 100%copy/cloned/counterfeit. So give yourself like a year and a half from the day u mount the battery to your car. I thought that it might be due to the battery so I got a brand new battery but the same thing is still happening and when I park and remove one battery terminal it doesn't run down and starts immediately |

2cribz: If its fuel.look for a 2.4l v6 engine suv. Sadly the only ones are too old for guy like u,like old highlander till 06 model, lexus rx newest models wich is too cost.......subaru. get a mini cross over like bmw ,honda hrv new model, etc. Leave benz alone. But if u want to buy benz.pls buy the old model from 2007 till 2011 model.old engine..very strong and rugged. Newer models engine vewi fragile and just put fake oil lasan.kiss the benz goodbye at scrap price. But my 2008 is also having battery drain issues when I park for over 3-4 hours |

Boc007: That’s why online will at times make you dive into the wrong place. Rexifi is 14k and has better service compared to number 2.
I prefer ikonnect cause it’s 15k monthly and it’s better than number one cause at 15k, you get up to 20mbps. Please which one is Ikonnect? |

Talksbusiness: yea i do
You’re absolutely right about the challenges — no sugar-coating that. Maintenance costs are crazy, and with fuel and inflation, private owners driving themselves barely break even.
But that’s why we’re approaching it differently at ATIAT.
We don't just throw cars into random use — we partner with vetted companies and verified drivers, with clear contracts, routine documentation, and proper fleet monitoring. It’s not a one-size-fits-all hustle. For some, we handle corporate leases, others go into fleet rentals with returns spread monthly, and some just need vehicle documentation support to stay compliant and reduce LASTMA wahala.
You mentioned people using scrap — true. But we also work with people who want their car to work without getting wrecked. That’s the sweet spot. Think about it like this: ✅ Fixed monthly income (contract-based) ✅ No daily driving stress ✅ Maintenance included in some plans ✅ You always retain ownership
This isn’t for everyone, but it can be profitable with the right structure. We’re building that structure — for ourselves and others who want legit, managed returns.
I’m happy to share real examples privately if anyone’s serious. Also, thanks for pointing out the realities — more people need to know the truth and the options. Interested How do we talk about it |

Car Talk › Re: Is It Possible To Program Key Chip For 2013 Toyota Corolla With No Tools? by Ojukwu4real(m): 8:00am On Jul 14, 2025 |
Grupo: Yes, but I believe it would cost less if you allow them use their own empty key to do everything from A to Z.
Just programming the chip would have cost me 10k.
But I needed them to program the remote too. And there was an issue. The new remote that came with the key I bought online wasn't the same frequency as my existing remote. I don't know if you understand.
So they had to sell me a new remote engine. That's what took up the cost of programming the chip and the remote to 30k
So had it been the remote engine was perfect, they would have done the chip and remote programming for like 15k or at most 20k. 7 Okay noted |
Car Talk › Re: Is It Possible To Program Key Chip For 2013 Toyota Corolla With No Tools? by Ojukwu4real(m): 7:37pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Grupo: I finally had to pay a key programmer to do it for.
I wanted to order the product someone recommended above.
On their website, they said price was 16k. I called to place an order only for them to now say the price is 35k.
Paid a key programmer 30k to do it. I believe it's better than paying 35k excluding delivery fees for a product I'd only get to use once. Good So everything costed you around 48k for a new key |

Car Talk › Re: 2025 Update: How I Registered My Tinted Glass Vehicle Without Stress by Ojukwu4real(m): 9:03pm On Jul 07, 2025 |
Saleslourd: If the vehicle is in your late brother’s name, and you’ve been using it for years, you still can apply for the permit — but with a simple twist:
🔹 You’ll register in your own name 🔹 But use the existing vehicle documents (even though the car papers carry his name)
The Police permit portal does not currently reject owner name vs applicant name, as long as the documents are clear.
✅ You’ll just need to upload your own ID and a medical report ✅ Then register the permit in your name ✅ You can even include a short reason if necessary — but in most cases, it goes through without stress
If you want to avoid all the stress or make sure it’s done clean and fast — I can assist with the full package.
Hope this helps someone else facing the same situation. Feel free to ask more. I will be interested in knowing what the full package would entail bcuz I would like a clean job |

Autoconnoisseur: Our Camry is landing at between 12.5 and 14.7 Million Naira
You won’t blame a dealer that has been on this importation for 3 months before he finally see buyer to add a markup of 1.5M ( roughly 10% profit margin) which I won’t even advice because if you took a loan to fund this purchase you will be paying about 5% per month (15% interest ) so even if you don’t take a loan it means you would have been better off putting that money in RENMoney(28% p.a) and collect interest then there won’t be any cars for you to buy on Nairaland Or even more at times The prices of car importation are astronomical |
