Guys, I am 100% positive about what I have seen. Ads for graduate field engineers 2015 for gabon and mozambic as well as intenship opportunuties 2015 for Gabon. I am just surprised that those ads were posted just 12 days ago on Glassdoor.
It isn't advertised on BH career website but if you happen to hear back from there, do let us know.

Hello,
I am writing in hopes that I will find someone facing the same issue as me, or maybe someone can give me some advice.
I applied for Graduate Engineering Position (2015) in September last year. After I passed the interview with Hire View and the language test, I attended to the Baker Hughes experience in Ankara, Turkey (November). After one day, they called and told me I got the interview.
After this, they sent me the offer and they made me even the background screening.
Since I graduated PhD in November, we agreed together with the HR Manager to start on 1st March, 2015. I must specify the position is for Romania, Ploiesti.
But, two weeks before starting work with BH, they called and told me that I cannot start now, only in November 2015, because of the merger with Halliburton and because of the oil price.
My disappointment is huge because I do not know what to think cry.
Is there someone in the same situation as me, or do you know someone that has happened the same?
Is there any possibility that the employment offer to be cancelled?
Your experiences and your views will be morally, very helpful for me.
Thank you!
I think I may speak for majority of the ppl on glassdoor and here when I say that most ppl here who applied after sept 2014 and got through to interview or had their applications rejected. Though the former ones are still awaiting on Baker Hughes Experience Day.

In regards to the reasons why Baker Hughes may not be recruiting this year, you are probably right because couple of days ago somebody from Latin America commented on this forum that the HR there informed them they can't recruit anymore atleast not for this year. Therefore both the merger and oil prices both may have played part in abandoning recruitment for this year. But Baker Hughes North America is still hiring graduates very much. So its slightly incredulous with the information the HR around different continents are telling their applicants. Secondly, other companies like Weatherford are still hiring around the globe, so it makes me question whether the oil prices really have had drastic effect on hiring.

Furthermore, from my experience of talking with HR reps of many companies and personally one of my cousins is HR for multinational, I understand that they will just about say anything to ensure they have you whenever they want even if it means they won't be hiring you anytime soon, much to the applicant's chagrin! Furthermore, they advertise entry level roles in EU around Sept of every year atleast they have been for 2 straight years so it makes me question whether they will ask you to go through the whole ordeal. I presume not because you already had background screening done. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend you apply else where or take a research fellowship position in the EU and not waste any more time with them. By November, if they happen to go come your way, you can always go work for them. Just ask yourself, if it worth wasting so much time?

Hope this helps x
