When you buy cement, you pay between N2000 to N5000 depending on the number of bags before you can negotiate transport with the driver.
If you buy wood, you pay N5k and also get Tax by the forestry department about N10k.
You buy chippings, you pay N5K per trip.
You buy sand, you pay N2k per trip.

About 110,000 people attending 'unite the kingdom' rally, say Met police
The Metropolitan police believe that there are about 110,000 people in attendance at the ‘unite the kingdom’ demonstration and about 5,000 at the Stand Up to Racism march.

Speaking to the Guardian on Saturday afternoon, the Met police said:

It is difficult to estimate numbers in attendance at busy protests but we use a combination of CCTV and police helicopter footage to do so.
We believe the number of people in attendance at the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ demonstration is around 110,000.
We believe the number of people in attendance at the ‘Stand Up To Racism’ demonstration is around 5,000.
Estimates provided by organisers and the police will often differ.

Elon Musk has addressed crowd attending the “unite the kingdom” march, via video link. He spoke to march leader, far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, over the video call.

Musk claimed that a “dissolution of parliament” and a “change of Government” is needed in the UK. He said: “I really think that there’s got to be a change of Government in Britain. You can’t - we don’t have another four years, or whenever the next election is, it’s too long. Something’s got to be done. There’s got to be a dissolution of Parliament and a new vote held.”

Musk told the march rally: “My appeal is to British common sense, which is to look carefully around you and say ‘If this continues, what world will you be living in?’
“This is a message to the reasonable centre, the people who ordinarily wouldn’t get involved in politics, who just want to live their lives. They don’t want that, they’re quiet, they just go about their business.

The X owner told the crowd “the left are the party of murder”, referring to the death of Charlie Kirk. He said: “There’s so much violence on the left, with our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week and people on the left celebrating it openly. The left is the party of murder and celebrating murder. I mean, let that sink in for a minute, that’s who we’re dealing with here.”

Musk also said that the British public are “scared to exercise their free speech” and claimed the BBC was “complicit in the destruction of Britain”.

When they finished their conversation, Robinson said: “Not only are we in the fight right now, but we’re on the advance thanks to free speech being fought for, for us, by Elon Musk.”

I also wanted to comment on the recent issue of Sojimoto and the Enugu state gov't...specifically the part where he mentioned the Enugu state governor told him of plans to build a skyscraper in the New Enugu City! Let me just say that the Governor has no business talking to any contractor on this if said contractor is not Julius Berger or CCECC! No other Nigerian based building contractor should be trusted to build such a massive project, as we all have heard of highrise buildings collapsing in Lagos and other parts of the country!

Building a skyscraper needs much more technical ability and experience as well as much more funds compared to building highrises which Sojimoto is known for. He just doesn't have the knowledge or capacity to build a 69 story skyscraper!

A 69 story skyscraper can be said to be a can be said to be a vertical city that would need very deep pilling to secure its foundation! It would also need its own supporting infrastructure and support services, like independent spower supply; independent water supply; independent sewage system; etc! It would also need to be supported by a good transport system, a nearby residential area for workers, and a park residents, workers and visitors can use for recreation, fresh air and activity! So there's much more that comes along with a skyscraper than just what you see on the surface.

One of the things I've noticed about nairaland is the manner in which some individuals rush to open threads despite having limited information about a lot of things especially news regarding the UK and Nigerians because a lot of people have cultivated this unknown hatred for fellow Nigerians who already left Nigeria I.e living in the UK.

Nobody is risking any deportation. Yes, it's true that lots of changes have been made but these changes provides loads of opportunities if you know your way in the UK and the smart ones are already finding their ways.

Few days before the 22nd of July which is the day the new rules took effect, lots of NHS Trusts sent out certificates of sponsorship to their employees both old and new including those who might need it and are Bank staff. I know a lot of them. In fact, a close friend got an offer on the 21st of July with sponsorship.

The only challenge is just the salary threshold thing which has been increased but like I said, if you know your ways it's just an opportunity for greater things but these people will come here and create topics just to show the gullible ones that those in the UK are going through this and that and they will all jump in to comment. Look at the kinds of comments that are being dropped here, it's mind blowing and baffling.

Sometime last year, I came across a similar topic here and I took my time to explain to someone how as a student in the UK who worked 20hrs a week I was able to save a lot of money, he was shocked because there are lots of things people don't know about until you meet the right people and you find yourself in the right environment.

Please, you people should do better. If you must create topics like these, also invest same amount of time you invested in writing things like these to write about the opportunities as well.
