Please, does anyone know if priority is still being given to first class students?

Hello , I have a question ….. I just uploaded my application on the new website and I got this message “ Under preliminary review: You have successfully submitted your application for preliminary review. Your German mission will now check your details. You will be notified as soon as the result of the preliminary review is available”

Does anyone know what this means and how long this step will take ….. I would also like to know how long it will take to get an appointment after this step … thank You
