They have now agreed that Tinubu submitted forged certificate, but since Buhari was not removed, then Tinubu can not be removed.

And this same people want a better country.

Anyway, irrespective of the judgement by the Supreme Court, one thing has already been established about Tinubu, and it will be remembered in the history of the country that a president of Nigeria submitted a confirmed forged document.

This is just déjà vu all over again. Is it that we never learn? The same thing happened with General Buhari. His certificates were lost while he was in detention. He presented a replacement GCE certificate that was full of errors. Yet, no court removed him. Why? Because it is the reality of the graduation that validates the certificate. It is not the certificate that validates the graduation. It is just like marriage. Your church wedding is just a formality. You got married the day your union was registered at the registry. The document they gave you in the church is only ceremonial.

This is a settled principle in law known as the maxim of equity that "Equity Regards As Done What Should Have Been Done."

This Chicago controversy was settled the minute that their registrar Mr. Caleb Westberg, testified under oath that the same person who is now President of Nigeria is the same person who graduated from Chicago State University. The Supreme Court will take that above public opinion any day!

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has said vitriolic attacks being regularly heaped on the judiciary cannot override or supersede the Constitution of the country which judges apply in deciding each case.

Ariwoola said this on Wednesday in Abuja while swearing in another batch of the 23 Judges for the Federal High Court.

He charged the judges to always apply constitutional provisions in deciding cases that may be assigned to them.

He said that several vitriolic attacks are regularly heaped on the judiciary; but that it is crystal clear that public opinion, no matter how serious or weighty it might be, cannot override or supersede the Constitution of the country in which judges apply in deciding each case.

“Judicial officers owe their conscience and the generality of the Nigerian masses: particularly those who are looking up to them, the great responsibility of good moral rectitude and acceptable conduct to uphold and consolidate the trust reposed in them.

“By virtue of the oath you have just taken, you have, automatically assumed new status and responsibilities in life.

“A new blank page in the book of life has just been opened for you and as it is with public office, especially the judiciary, you are completely opened to daily public scrutiny.

“The pen is right there in your hand to write whatever you desire to be the content of the new page that is now openly displayed in the public domain.

“Like I always say, even though judicial officers are not spirits or superhuman, yet, so much impossible things are expected from them by the society.
