gidgiddy: Igbo bu Igbo, Ka Chukwu gozie unu
I want to thank my fellow Igbos for taking out yesterday to honour and remember our war dead. All the lenght and breath of Igbo land was completely shut down, except for essential services, as we stayed at home to remember the millions we lost. It was largely peaceful except for a skirmish that occured in Aba
We lost millions of our brethren in a fruitless war to uphold a failed British colonial legacy called "one Nigeria", which since proven to be a disaster
Be that as it may, we must thank God in all situations. Nobody will live forever, we will all one day join our war dead in the hereafter. But while we are still here, we shall honour them
I thank you all for making our remembrance day a resounding success
Ekene, ekene is this thanksgiving for Ibos in south east who are forced to stay indoors or the freeborn Ibos residing outside the 3 and half plots of land? |

mrvitalis: South East governors caused this killing
If they had simply declared may 30th Biafra remembrance Day and made it a public holiday weekend wont be here
When Fulanis ravaged South East they were begged to form a security outfit they refused Till Esn was formed
Igbos would never forget the name Biafra
Igbos would never forget the Biafra war
Igbos would never stop using the Biafran flag
Igbos would never forget may 30th
It would never happen
The best things for this governors is to adopt this things and formalized them ... Simple to save lifes
IPOBidient did you just admit that Ibo killed those Army officers? |

Many streets in Umuahia, Abia State capital were deserted, Thursday in compliance with the sit-at-home order by Biafra agitators to commemorate those who lost their lives during the Biafra war.
Although the capital city was not entirely locked down, there was skeleton movements as some residents stayed indoors.
As at 10:00am when our Correspondent moved round to monitor the situation, Abia Tower Round About opposite Post Office right at the City centre which on a normal day, used to be a busy area, was partially a ghost of its old self.
Most of the shops around the vicinity were not open while some business owners were observed hanging around.
Youths mostly apprentices were also seen playing football around the open space opposite former NUJ secretariat in the vicinity.
A shop owner at the vicinity who did not want her name on print said even though she came out, she believed strongly in Biafra.
She said she saw nothing wrong with observing a peaceful sit-at-home in honour of those killed during the civil war.
Motor parks in the capital city were totally on lock as drivers and commuters stayed away.
Although some schools opened, many others did not.
Banks in the state capital were also under lock and key except transactions at their Automated Teller Machines, ATM.
There, was however, no incidence of violence in any part of the state as at the time of filing this report.
Vanguard inquiries also revealed that Aba the commercial capital of the state was on a total lockdown.
Commercial and economic activities were said to have been paralysed as residents decided to comply with the sit-at-home order. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/05/biafra-day-umuahia-records-total-compliance/

The probability of challenges like this occuring is high, especially in Africa, so WAEC should know how to get around it without jeopardizing education of the students. you just agreed that IPOBidient is a terrorist organisation |
