Insecurity has been a serious issue as long as we can remember in Nigeria. The chief of Air staff (CAS), Air Mashal Sadiq Abubakar has threaten to expose those behind the killings in Nigeria, he made this revelation during an inauguration of small arms shooting range and some projects at the noigerian airport base in bauchi. According to him, he said that it was unfair that when the security agencies are rying there best to wipe out crime, some demonic Nigerians were busy supporting the group “Some of these groups are being funded, supported and encouraged by certain unpatriotic Nigerians for self-centered political interests”



“These threats have undoubtedly exerted a lot of pressure on our resources and infrastructure and require us to think out of the box if we are to successfully address them,” Abubakar said.

The aggrieved former militants are also angry that politicians have used the slots meant for them, to empower their family members, cronies and girlfriends. As a way of expressing their anger, their protest disrupted activities at the Ondo State Oil- Producing Area Development Commission, OSOPADEC, in Oba Ile area of Akure, Ondo State. They also went as far as picketing the commission to drive home their demands. They accused the government of mishandling the Amnesty programme and so directed their grievances at the state government. Aside this, they lamented that they were deceived into laying down their arms and ammunition while the assurance to be incorporated into the programme remained unfulfilled.
