It couldn't have been a poor choice of words because only a father or mother or an elder should be able to say such words to their ward. Buying land is an economic thing not a favour...if you are broke you sell your land to highest bidder and it's not about being tribalistic or not..it's just economics

Your title is misleading as it assumes that only women snoop around their spouses' phones. There are enough posts here on Nairaland— Romance section to be exact— revealing that both males and females are guilty of this sort of snooping, particularly those who are insecure and anxious in their relationship. :- l

2. Marriage may not be that, but it does remain that for two people to successfully maneuver a marriage, there ought to be openness and extensive communication between the two. You have made it abundantly known to all of us here on Nairaland that you have checked out on that marriage, meaning you are just living with a roommate all of this time. Your wife isn't on the same page as you there, as her snooping through your phone means she is unsure of the present and the future of the relationship she has with you. If she shared the same feelings you do regarding the marriage, she would probably not be in the same bed with you or even pay attention to anything that has to do with you.

And again, a lot of men do the same.

The indigenes of Abuja are people who we consider northerners, so it is expected. Wike becoming the FCT minister and nobody protesting against it shows that everyone is welcome in the territory. In fact, the only senator representing the FCT isn't even from the FCT and they are not protesting.

Abuja is the only place you go to and Nigerians of all tribes are named after streets and strategic monuments. In my view, Abuja is a perfect capital because the natives are extremely accommodating and welcoming. There's nothing wrong with it having northern feels because the earliest settlers are predominantly northerners.

In short, I think more efforts should be made to preserve the natives' culture and legislation made to give the natives key government appointments/positions because Nigeria has practically taken everything from them. We don't have to wait for them to start protesting and destroying public infrastructure before the right thing is done.
