The 8 Bayelsa PDP women and a driver who lost their lives in an accident after visiting Patience Jonathan were on Tuesday given a mass burial.

They were buried in 4 graves.The eight women alongside the driver, Mr. Kelechi
Oyenkwuru, were buried in four graves at the Gloryland Cemetery, Azikoro, Yenagoa.

According to a close who attended the funeral,coffins containing the remains of three of the deceased were buried in one grave while the remaining were laid to rest in twos in three graves.

Archbishop Isreal Ek,the state Chairman of CAN conducted the burial.

There was pandemonium today in Sango Ota area of Ogun state as custom officers shot bullets into the air along Abeokuta expressway,leaving a young girl dead.

According to an eyewitness,the decease was hit by a stray bullet fired by one of the custom officers while she was making Amala in a shop at Sango garage.The custom officers deserted the scene without taking care of the deceased.

The shooting commenced around 10am from Joju area of Sango.The eyewitness went ahead to say that the custom officers were pursuing smugglers whom they seized their bags of rice.

Mr Dada Eriye,a popular Lagos-based magazine publisher has lost his life following a generator accident.

The unfortunate incident happened around 11:45pm on Valentine Day,Saturday 14th Feb while he was trying to pour fuel into his generator.The generator caught fire and exploded.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was rejected because of the severity of his injury.From the hospital,he was rushed to another hospital,Igbobi specialist hospital but was also rejected on the ground that the hospital was disinfected.Imagine excuses while he was in excruciating pain!

Family sources revealed they later transferred him to LUTH around 2:00 am on Sunday after several failed attempts to get medical care in other hospitals.Shockingly,he was rejected at LUTH but the hospital later agreed to attend to him after the payment of N25,000.The sources said he died after LUTH denied him of medical care for several hours before attending to him.

May his soul rest in peace.Amen.

At least four people were severed injured today in an accident that occurred today in the morning at Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja.

According to an eyewitness,13 people were in the bus that lost brake and went off road.The victims were rushed to hospital.

The lady spent her valentine with her team touching the lives of the people in hospital and orphans.House of Empress Foundation visited Garki hospital Abuja,many orphanage homes in Abuja and showered them with gifts.The visit started from 8am and ended by 10pm.During her visit,she had gist with many of the patients in the hospital and knelt down before the orphans who prayed for her.One of the ladies she met in Garki hospital was a lady who lost her baby after delivery on val day.Empress assured her and the lady smiled in such a way that she has totally forgotten the agony of the tragedy.

It was very unfortunate yesterday for the driver of a Toyota Camry car as his speeding vehicle failed brake and ran into the Ikosi-Ketu branch of Mr Biggs.

He could not control the brake as he ran into the eatery centre while lovers were celebrating Val’s day.However,no life was lost.

  A Lagosian who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the two contestants are taking their campaign beyond limit,without considering what the streets of Lagos look like with their careless pasting of posters.

Before his untimely death at the MRS filling station, Ugwu-Orji along Okigwe rd , Hon.Onyekele was the Commissioner to the House of Assembly Service Commission. An indigene of Ihitte Uboma, Onyekele was also a Local government Chairman during the Ohakim administration.

May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
