Well not compulsory but it is a plus. One of my two sisters actually joined red cross before she applied for her nanny visa. She also completed her first aid and CPR training with Red Cross. Did it help? Probably yes because her visa was approved.
I have seen other folks who got their nanny work permit approved without being a member of red cross so I don't think it really matters.
What matters is getting your First Aid / CPR training done with a reputable organization and making sure you include your training certificate in your work permit / PR application.[/quote]
