Fans have criticised the decision to play the Saudi Arabian national anthem at Wembley prior to Anthony Joshua's defeat by Daniel Dubois.

Turki Alalshikh, a member of the Saudi royal court, was instrumental in arranging the fight.

Joshua has previously been involved in fights in Saudi Arabia against Francis Ngannou, Otto Wallin, Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jnr and this fight, though in England, was still part of the Riyadh Season.

Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight title by knocking out Joshua in the fifth round of a sensational affair under the Wembley arches.

Many fans were left disappointed as the Saudi Arabian national anthem was performed, with one commenting that the situation was 'embarrassing', though the English anthem was also heard shortly after.

In addition, another fan wrote: 'Wow, the national anthem of Saudi Arabia getting sung in England….'.

One fan claimed that English boxing has sold its soul.

They stated: 'Singing the national anthem of Saudi Arabia is embarrassing, truly sold our souls for the money man'.

Another fan added: 'National anthem of Saudi Arabia at Wembley. For two English fighters, really normal.'

Another comment read: 'Singing the Saudi Arabia national anthem at Wembley for a boxing match held in the UK? What’s all that about?'.

One fan was baffled by the decision to play the Saudi Arabian national anthem before the English one.

They wrote: 'How do you sing the Saudi Arabia national anthem BEFORE the host nation’s — and both fighter’s anthems.'

From the opening bell, 'Dynamite' Dubois put on a sensational display as he showcased his immense power and scored a knockdown in the opening round.

A stunned 'AJ' returned to his corner to seek the guidance of trainer Ben Davison and, in the second round, he did manage to hang on Dubois pushed forward.

However, Joshua never looked as though he'd recovered from the early blow and was on the canvas once again in the third round, just seconds before the bell rang.

It was all over two rounds later after Joshua caught Dubois and charged forward before the IBF heavyweight champion delivered a brutal hook that sent his rival to the canvas.

Joshua attempted to get back to his feet for the third time in the fight but stumbled over and gave the referee a simple decision to call off the bout.

Hezbollah Fires 140 Rockets Into Israel To ‘Avenge’ Mass Bombing Attack In Lebanon

A Lebanese-based militant group Hezbollah has pounded northern Israel with 140 rockets.

This is considered an act of revenge by the group against Israel for a mass bombing attack in Lebanon.

AP News reports that Israel’s military said the rockets came in three waves Friday afternoon, targeting sites along the ravaged border with Lebanon.

Hezbollah said it had targeted several sites along the border with Katyusha rockets, including multiple air defence bases as well as the headquarters of an Israeli armoured brigade they said they’d struck for the first time.

Hezbollah had earlier vowed to take revenge after blaming Israel for detonating pagers on Tuesday that killed at least eight people and wounded 2,750 others, including many of the militant group's fighters and Iran's envoy to Beirut.

The country's Information Minister Ziad Makary also condemned the destruction of the pagers - used by Hezbollah and others in Lebanon to communicate.

The minister described it as an "Israeli aggression".

Hezbollah said Israel would receive "its fair punishment" for the blasts.

A source within the Hezbollah group said the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of conflict with Israel.

Developments in Lebanon are extremely concerning, especially given the "extremely volatile" context, said U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, adding that the U.N. deplores any civilian casualties.

ithout commenting directly on the explosions in Lebanon, an Israeli military spokesman said the chief of staff, Major General Herzi Halevi, had met with senior officers on Tuesday evening to assess the situation.

No policy change was announced but "vigilance must continue to be maintained", he said.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been placed on suicide watch inside the Brooklyn jail.

This development comes as he awaits trial for his alleged sex crimes.

Sean Combs was arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution charges, sources told People.

The mental health watch comes as the 54-year-old’s mental state was described by officials as unclear, according to the report.

Sources told People that it was for preventative measures as Combs was in shock.

According to the U.S Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch is "supervisory precautions taken for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation."

Combs is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail and house detention by Manhattan federal Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky.

Combs was arrested late Monday in Manhattan, roughly six months after federal authorities conducting a sex trafficking investigation raided his luxurious homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Over the past year, Combs has been sued by people who say he subjected them to physical or sexual abuse.

He has denied many of those allegations, and his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said outside the courthouse Tuesday morning that Combs would plead not guilty and that he would “fight like hell” to try to get his client released from custody.

Referring to his client, Agnifilo said, “His spirits are good. He’s confident.”

The indictment accuses Combs of striking, punching and dragging women on numerous occasions, throwing objects and kicking them — and enlisting his personal assistants, security and household staff to help hide it all.

The indictment describes Combs as the head of a criminal enterprise engaged in or attempting to engage in activities including sex trafficking, forced labour, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.

In November 2023, his former girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie, whose legal name is Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit saying he had beaten and raped her for years. She accused Combs of coercing her, and others, into unwanted sex in drug-fueled settings.

The suit was settled in one day but months later CNN aired hotel security footage showing Combs punching and kicking Cassie and throwing her on a floor. After the video aired, Combs apologized, saying, “I was disgusted when I did it.”

Combs and his attorneys, however, denied similar allegations made by others in a string of lawsuits.
