auto5598:Yes, I received my visa already - within a month of application. This was my first Canada visa. I used the new IRCC portal. I don't have anything to compare with, so I can't say which is better. |
MsAnonymous:Hello, no I didn't include my payslips. Just my employment and promotion letters (which have information about my annual pay) and bank statements for the last 3 months. I merged both in a single doc and uploaded as proof of finances. Now, I am not remembering why I left out payslips - I usually include this in all my visa applications, so if you feel like it could improve your chances, please include it. |
MsAnonymous:I have a valid US visa and in the new portal, it asked for "Proof of financial support" (I submitted bank statements). I also included a self introduction/cover letter (with an overview of my travel plans) and employment + promotion letters. I forgot to add my full itinerary but I believe that can be helpful too. For a safe balance to have, I'm not sure. Someone here recommended budgeting at least $300/day. So maybe a little over that, prorated for 7 days will be good enough. |
