I'm in kinda the same situation as you. I filled the form today and sent them a mail explaining what happened. Expecting a reply tomorrow.

You can ask them after the interview. Congrats. You have gone through difficult parts. I just completed online assessment and personality test. Top 5percent; Top 5percent; Top 10percent; Top 10percent and Top 10percent. The persuasion stage appeared not graded. Don't know why.

Don't worry about that. You'll be surprised to realize that some aspects weren't even included, I discovered this about my own when I compared it with that of others. This is just a reflection of the areas you are strongest in, I guess. Perhaps you are stronger in the areas with grades than the ones without.

I am Linux admin and a web manager. Not really a fan of computer programming but I wanna give Andela a try. Just applied now. Will take aptitude test maybe tomorrow. What should one expect from the aptitude test?

Can't remember clearly now cos it's been a while since I last took it. But, generally, it's about your personality and problem solving ability. No mathematics, just some scenarios with similar reactions where you'll be asked to select your reaction and some shape problems too etc.

I think being neatly and sensibly dressed is enough. They didn't tell us about any dress code.

To whom it may concern.

I had my interview to be an Andela fellow today and it was quite nice. The interviewers will be generally nice, I can assure you. So, be calm, don't sweat.

To summarize, the interview was basically the way ladiadeniran put it above:

--> Three Python based questions on a sheet of paper. Two involved determinig what the console will spit out once the algorithm was run. For the last one, you'll need to write the algorithm on the piece of paper. In my opinion, this was the most difficult part of the whole process.
--> Also, there's the part where you'll read through two examples of emails sent to a client by fellows and you are asked too compare both and be able to state a good amount of differences. You'll also decide which of the two mails is better.

--> Then comes the part where you sit and have a chat with the fellow and trainer(I believe they are usually paired in twos this way). So, the questions vary, so all I'll say here is learn the Homestudy material well, do some research on Andela, and talk to them.

Andela is a really cool place to be, I guess - I've never worked there .
In the end it's who you are that matters, not where you are or what you do.

I had mine today.it was supposed to be great rite now i'm really in a fix.There was a quick test before the main interview divided into two parts i.e Technical and Soft skill evaluation.The first part had 3 questions bothering on python really i dont think they would be repeated though and the other we had to read two mails determine why the revised mail was better.To the interview it was pretty informal (although i was nervous through it) but you can be relaxed and the questions can really not be premeditated they could ask you anything technical or anything relating to you generally.

Thanks a lot Ladi. I hope you get invited for the boot-camp. So, for those three Python questions, did you have to write an algorithm or code? Or where they multiple choice questions written on a paper or perhaps oral? Also, kindly list the questions or, safer still, find a way to give us more details about the questions without out-rightly saying them.

Good morning everyone. Could any Andela fellow please describe a typical day in the Amity campus(I believe that is the correct name?) and her impressions of the Andela training. How is the training like and where do U feel it can lead U to in the future. Thanks a lot.

Guys!! That test was nerve-racking, believe it! I scored 536 at first, then took the overtime and got 514. I'm currently ranked 531 among the 1480 people that have taken. I pray I get chosen.

What I observed from taking the test was that it was aimed to test your knowledge, attentiveness, degree of attention to details, level of mastery and speed. It was quite thrilling! Having a broad and deep knowledge, and ample experience in JavaScript and, (less importantly) HTML and CSS coding would make one excel in these tests, I believe.

After sending a mail with attachments containing screengrabs of my results(I sent both the normal one and the one gotten after the overtime) to apply@andela.co, I finally discovered how to submit the result via the smarterer/proctor platform. All I did was click the take time to setup your account icon. The icon faded, then I positioned my mouse on the space where they talk about the email used for "greenhouse". I now typed-in the email I used for the application and clicked the "submit" button. And I got a response telling me that my result has been submitted, shikena!

All the best guys! Andela, here I come!

Maybe an error on Andela's part, sending the mail to U more times than necessary? Did you try to take the test again by following the link? I expect it to say can't cos U have taken it before.
