adecz:Palestinians and Hamas are quite good at showcasing in the media the "crimes" of Israelis and making efforts to manipulate and weaponize sympathy. Aren't these the same people shooting rockets from hospitals and schools while actively seeking to make Palestinian children and civilians collateral damage so they can whip up sympathy against Israel? This is the same Hamas that kills Palestinians that criticize them or they perceive as being tolerant or considerate of Israelis. Hamas has shown repeatedly by its actions that it doesn't value the lives of Palestinians, but they cry crocodile tears and raise blaming fingers when their actions cause the death of Palestinians in the hands of Israelis. These are the Palestinians that Hamas leadership tell anyone are the responsibilities of United Nations. It is worth noting that rather than build schools, hospitals and provide amenities with foreign aid for Palestinians, Hamas choose to build tunnels, rockets, buy ammunition and have their leadership live luxurious lifestyles in foreign countries like Qatar. Palestinians and other foreigners supporting Hamas should ask themselves what has been the net gain of the actions of Hamas over the years for Palestinians. The truth is that the net gain is negative. Thousands of lives of Palestinians have been sacrificed and the actions have not gained anything but loss of land, territory and economic prosperity. For those of you who don't know history, during the period of British Mandatory Palestine prior to 1948, when the Jews and Palestinians all lived together (both were then referred to as Palestinians), even though there were internal conflicts from time to time, the following facts were indisputable during those years: 1. Palestinian Arab literacy rates were higher than those of Egypt and Turkey despite being lower than that of Jews. 2. Palestinian Arabs earned more than Arabs in other countries despite having a lower earning power compared to Jews. 3. On the scale of the UN Human Development Index determined for around 1939, of 36 countries, Palestinian Jews were placed 15th, Palestinian Arabs 30th, Egypt 33rd and Turkey 35th. All these indicators showed that Palestinian Arabs were doing much better than their fellow Arabs in other countries during those days even when they were not as economically advanced as the Palestinian Jews. Even Rashid Khalidi, a Palestinian-American historian in his book (Khalidi, Rashid (2006). The Iron Cage: The Story of the Palestinian Struggle for Statehood. Beacon Press. ISBN 978-0-8070-0308-4.) admitted that Palestinian Arab society, while overmatched by the Yishuv (Palestinian Jews), was as advanced as any other Arab society in the region and considerably more than several. But after the disagreement of the Palestinian Arabs with the UN Partition Plan (to establish Palestinian Arab and Jewish States while Jerusalem would be under UN) and the subsequent 1947 to 148 Wars and several uprisings thereafter, what could anyone say about the economic situation of the Palestinian Arabs compared to their fellow Arabs? How far have the fallen down the ladder when they allowed themselves to be blinded by hatred for the Jews and Israel? Today in Gaza, the unemployment rate is over 49% with over 70% youth unemployment. Power Grid, Water Supply System and Healthcare are toast from collateral damage. The only airport, the Yasser Arafat International Airport is in ruins. In June 2005, there were 3,900 factories in Gaza city employing 35,000 people, and in December 2007, there were 195 factories remaining, employing 1,700 people. The school students have 80% failure rate in schools grades four to nine, with up to 90% failure rates in mathematics. As at 2008 Schools in Gaza were canceling classes that were high on energy consumption, such as information technology, science labs and extra curricular activities. As at 2007, households in Gaza spent an average of 62% of their total income on food, compared to 37% in 2004. Currently, more than 80 percent of the population in Gaza live below the poverty line, according to the UN. Between 2010 and 2011 when there was relative peace, the economy of Gaza grew by 16% in the first half of 2010. In 2011 Gaza's economy increased by 27% while unemployment fell to 29%, its lowest in a decade and per capita gross domestic product increased by 19%. In 2012, Qatar donated 400 million dollars towards construction projects in the Gaza Strip. That same 2012, an average of 250 trucks per day passed through the Kerem Shalom border crossing, transporting goods from Israel to the Gaza Strip boosting trade. However, when there is a little stability to allow for development, Hamas and similar minded terrorists attack Israel and engineer retaliations that set the country back 20 years. It may interest you to know that many Palestinians in Gaza worked in the Israeli service industry while the border was open. But these people couldn't work anymore after hostilities by Hamas led to blockades. You may also wish to know that providing the population of the Gaza Strip with a 24/7 power supply requires about 600 megawatts of electricity. Yet the Gaza Strip receives only 180 megawatts — 120 directly from Israel via 10 power lines, and 60 generated by Gaza's power plant with Qatari-funded fuel provided by Israel. It is not difficult to see the economic role of Israel in the development of Gaza but Hamas and their supporters choose same Israel as their major enemy in a conflict in which Hamas can never win for several reasons not to talk of their cowardice. Where has the war of terror with Israel gotten the Palestinians today? In West Africa, we may accuse Europeans and Americans of being colonizer and slave traders that cause our forefathers pains. However, we have discovered that living in the countries of these same people, our people have done better and fared far better than when living within their own countries in Africa. Today, we are the ones emigrating with gusto into the lands of our former slave masters. See, hatred doesn't feed anybody. Hatred of Israelis doesn't feed any Palestinian. It is people like Hamas that are benefiting from it all. If Gaza and Palestine in general toe the path of peace with Israel, terrorist like Hamas will have nothing to benefit or rely upon. Their sources of radical funding from Iran and other Jew hating Arabs will dry up. But Palestinians in general will be the better for it. What gives the Zionist apartheid regime of Israel the audacity to forcefully demand Gaza's evacuation, denying Palestinians the right to return to their homeland? Beyond the pictures of wounded and dead people in Gaza, beyond the rise of emotions, it is necessary to deeply consider some issues as raised in this post from Quora and the accompanying responses. Of what good has Hamas been to the Palestinians? And how innocent really are most of the Palestinians who went out and cheered in the streets on hearing news of the October 7, 2023 massacre? What level of apartheid is Israel bringing upon the Palestinians? Look at these pictures posted here!Mark Miller: Israel is not perfect. It also has crossed the line. And, I do feel sadness for the Palestinians. However, there is also a part of me that sees the argument they have brought their outcomes on themselves.https://www.quora.com/What-gives-the-Zionist-apartheid-regime-of-Israel-the-audacity-to-forcefully-demand-Gazas-evacuation-denying-Palestinians-the-right-to-return-to-their-homeland

Why are some countries willing to accept 8 million refugees from Ukraine, but unwilling to accept 2 million Palestinian refugees? No-one will accept Palestinian refugees - not even the Muslim states that pretend to support them. Kazeemabiodun:When shallow people are short of reasoning to defend their weak arguments, they resort to insults, which actually go further to highlight the shallowness and emptyness of their thinking process. You have a hero that is a porn addict and when confronted with the undeniable facts, what is your response? Insults. But am I surprised? No. On the contrary. What do you expect from someone who holds Bin Laden as his hero? |
ObabiOlorunosi:Hamas was stupid to have carried out the October 7 attack and not expect dire consequences. Hezbollah learnt the hard way from the razing of Southern Lebanon by Isreal and you can see how that has taught Hezbollah how to restrain itself from any stupid adventure against Isreal. Hamas is also going to learn the hard way after the razing of Gaza if Hamas and any of its leadership are able to survive the war. There is only one language that Jihadist understand and it is the language of terror and brutal retailiations. It is the language they speak anyway. |
Biodun556:Osama bin Laden the Jihadist with an extensive cache of pornographic videos. Masquerading as a holy figher of Islam in the day while retiring to pornography and other vile perversions at night, away from the public eye. If Osama is anybody's hero, then such a person need serious rethinking of his or her life. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-binladen-porn-idUSTRE74C4RK20110513/ |
This post seeks to compare and contrast the decisions or judgements of Jesus and Muhammad regarding two different adulterous women. While one advocates forgiveness while highlighting the hypocrisy of men (i.e. Let he who has no sin cast the first stone), the other advocates unforgiving judgement and condemnation. It appears that in Islam, to be purified of a sin regardless of your repentance, you must serve the punishment even if it meant death.
