@Olamyyde, you don't have to prove anything to me, but it's a little puzzling that you'd lump Black Mirror as one of your top 10 all time favorite shows solely based on a relatively weak season by Black Mirror' standard (Season 3) and a standalone christmas special episode (White Christmas). Nah.

Look, some of us started following Black Mirror as far back as 2011 and it was the rave of the moment. Every episode from "National Anthem" to "Entire history of you" was something like we've never seen on TV before. It was outrageous and mind bending. It was the sh*t. Black Mirror was thus, born. That was the peak season and hence, set the precedent for the rest. When you reach the top, the only way to go is down.

Season 2 premiered at 2013 and even though it shocked and awed like it's suppose to, it wasn't quite as good as the first. Neither was the standalone special that dropped the following year, titled "White Christmas". But the magic continued nevertheless, Black Mirror was still Black Mirror.

Then, Netflix purchased the show in 2015 and commissioned it for a 12 part episodes to be split between 2016 & 2017. I knew then it was the beginning of the end. The show worked best as a 3 part limited series: It was a formulae that have worked twice in a row in the past. More fresh content to worked with, more quality content, etc.

Not surprising, when it premiered, Season 3 couldn't measure up to the first 2, and neither did season 4.

So imagine my bemusement when you picked season 3 as your alpha season when it did little to capture the essence of the magic we have come to associate with BM episodes.

I mean, most BM faithfuls either pick season 1 or 2 as their best ever season of the lot, and here you were, picking a Netflix revamp as your favorite? I mean, like seriously?? WTF dude? I mean, it's all subjective, but still... mehn.

As for your issues with Season 4, you're overthinking it. You aren't supposed to. Just go with the flow and enjoy the ride.

Just say you don't like Black Mirror. Season 1 & 2 were some of the best hours of television I have ever seen. They were peak Black Mirror.
After a 2 year hiatus, Netflix tried to recapture the magic of the original episodes but fell somewhat short on season 3. The only highlights been "Shut up and dance" and "San Junipero" episodes. Season 4 is really unique in the sense that Brooker decided to try something new and it worked... well kinda. Apart from very weak "Crocodile" and the very cliche "Black Museum", the rest of the episodes were very peculiar, but in a positive way.

A dark techy inclined anthology themed show like Black Mirror isn't for everyone - it has it's own niche. You either like it very much or you despise it. Fortunately, I belong to the former.

Well, you can't please everyone. Personally, I think Season 4 is slightly better that it's predecessor, season 3, in the sense that it has more meta episodes - Season 3 only had one.

The original 3 part series is the GOAT for me. Surreal as it gets. The PM shagging a sow was one f**ked up episode.
