Since the trial of government officials began for an alleged involvement in corruption, NOI has never been mentioned. But now that it is, I hope the investigation would not vilify her. |
Care must be taken so that EFCC does not engage in media prosecution like the police did in case of Evans, for which it was sued. |
In line with what the Minister of Justice, Malami said that there’s need for a coordinating centre for all government criminal justice agencies, it informs that there would have been a violation of that perceived freedom those agencies enjoyed in the past, one of which is victimization, prejudice, etc, supposed opposition. |
It is when EFCC concludes its investigation that we would know if anyone is involved in any corruption or not. So, a mere mention here is not a judgment in itself. |
Nigerians should know that petitioning EFCC concerning someone does not literarily mean he or she is corrupt. |

What we require from the President Buhari administration is a thorough work on this fight against corruption and not a one-sided thing like it’s being perceived. |
What we need right away is adopting the recommendations she offered: the political will to save, which suffices to say that there should be constitutional provision, binding on all occupants of the presidency to abide by. By so doing we would not have same issues recurring in future. |
The former finance minister has said it oftentimes that the erstwhile government lacked the will to save and none of the political players said anything in contrary to her comments. So, she has kept a clean sheet as far as I am concerned. |
