This is little infor abt NYSC service in plateau state: let me firstly congratulate dz batch 'A' for coming to Plateau state & its camp in the time when extreme cold is being gradually coming to an end unlike Nov, Dec & Jan. Distance to Plateau is long e.g from Lagos is abt 16hrs, from Kwara is 12/13hrs etc. Anywhere u ar coming from, u wil first get to Jos city b4 leaving for NYSC camp in Mangu LG. It's #500 to d camp (another journey) i.e if u get to Jos b4 midnight. Bt if it's too late, it's not adviseable to go to d camp in the midnight because arm robbers, though u wil stil be allowed to enter the camp hostel to sleep in the midnight b4 u wil all be asked by soldiers to leave the hostel for proper checking outside the gate. U might be forced by soldiers to carry ur luggage on ur head & run wt it. So if av hevy luggage esp. for ladies that travel wt much luggage, u ar on ur own. Some objects ar prohibited on camp such knife, iron, clipper & any other object that could be used to injure others. All these wi be confiscated & later release to u some days to pass out on Camp. Don't bother ursev wt food on camp expect if u ar a type that can't eat wt commoners . Don't worry, mammi market is there for u. U may not bother ursev wt mosquito net because thru out my days in d camp hostel I didnt see jst a single mosquito. Plateau has a best camp wt adequate facilities probably the best camp in Nigeria, though the state doesn't pay expect if u ar very lucky to be paid in ur PPA. Plateau has 17 local govts among are: Mangu, Wase, Bokkos, Pankshin, Langtan, Jos east, Jos south, Jos north etc. Bt Jos north & Jos south are the metropoli of Jos city, the rest local govts are towns & vi...ll.....a...ges even some are remote villages bt dn't be discouraged. Sometimes, vilage is better than city where u could spend almost all of ur allawe for food & T. fare without accomodation. Let me stop here. The necessary question in dz country is that,why is it that until when tragic thing occured that ur govt normaly take a step to avert disastrous + tragic thing? E.g it was after DANA plane crash that ur govt notice to renovate & amend earoplanes in Nigerian airports. Why is that until when d impassable roads instigate fatal accident that a step often take? "Prevention is better cure.'' Let ur govt avert anytinz dat can result into tragedy in dz nation. NIGERIA WIL REGAIN HER LOST GLORIES IN JESUS NAME.
